Amount and type of traffic to get a toplist going?
 

Hello,
I'm new here and have been a long time viewer.

I want to start a toplist for my avs/paysite.
I'm thinking of getting traffic for it from freesites, tgps and the like.

I can by spots from different listings such as 1st thru 8th spots.
Obviously the higher the spot the more it will cost.
(not positive on the traffic broker I'm going to use yet)

Which spot do you think will be cost effective in terms of purchased traffic?
Say $6 for first spot on down to $2 for 8th per thousand.
The more click happy visitors the better but at what cost?

Thinking of purchasing 1000 hits a day for at least a month. Not sure if it will be enough to get the toplist going.

Okay,
I was going to make it both thumbs and banners but will probably just go with thumbs.

Bad news for me as jmbsoft is retired. I couldnt make the purchase.
I need to find a toplist script. Something cheap or free to get started.

Any recommendations on getting a toplist script?
