Hosting Money....
Is there money in hosting? Meaning creating and running a reseller account to bring in customers? This work and how much are people bringing in monthly?
|
We have several large customers to push a lot of bandwidth to users. Yes there is good money in hosting if you have the expertise to select the right datacenters with good routes. Not every website needs to same server setup. Some need Nginix + Memcached or Varnish and some simply just need a highly secure SQL database server for their Wordpress blogs. We have a custom SQL intrusion prevention system that scans all database traffic in real time looking for common CMS and 0day exploits. We have a client with a customized version of Wordpress 1.8 still running well and it's never been "hacked" or malware implanted into it's code.
I just received my monthly e-mail from SiteUpTime.com saying we achieved a 100% uptime rate yet again for the last month. |
There is plenty of money to be made in hosting. You will however need to have a good marketing strategy and a good niche to survive in the industry.
Thanks MrE |

hosting sellers contact to prmote their business.

More often than not you are better off making money by being a hosting affiliate rather than make the investment in infrastructure to become your own web host.
There are plenty of web hosting companies that pay excellent commissions for web-hosting sales and you don't need to outlay one cent to make money as an affiliate. It's often better than the headaches trying to run your own web-hosting business can give you. |
There is money in everything. The problem is how to effectively make it. :D

Hi Beks001
Contact me directly and I will speak with you at length about our affiliate and reseller program. Theres plenty of good money to be made. You just have to know how to do it. |
Every site on the internet needs a home somewhere, so yes there is money to be made. I would agree going with a reseller or affiliate program is the easiest, cheapest and fastest way to start making some of that money. If you are looking at building a host from the ground up, there is lots of learning and research to be done. Not to mention money to invest.
We have huge commission payouts for our affiliates and resellers. I would be happy to discuss this with you and show you the money you could make selling hosting. |
I resell hosting every once in a while to friends/associates who want to dip they're toes in the online arena... They all quit so far, but was some nice extra money for the time being.

I have a reseller account and make pretty well with it. I have had it for almost 5 years now and gradually add clients. Its nice for long term in my OP
|
Not a lot, but you can easily get free hosting by referring a couple accounts. And we have resellers making over $1500 a month from it but this is very rare. I would package the hosting with web design and then you can grab local businesses with non computer savvy owners. People love turn key solutions.

Hosting is a huge industry, but very competitive. You'll need an edge if you want to make real money. For example, host and manage Mediawikis for people or something.
|
There is money in every industry, however the hosting industry has gotten more and more competitive over the last few years. So I wouldn't get into that business unless you know that you have a compelling offer.
|
It doesnt work anymore. Trust me, how many cheaper offer out there?
|
Focus on a niche but stay away from realtors as they are always in need of some form of support and it will wear you down to support their needs. Find a niche and focus on just that and you can do well.
