What happened to traffic on Plentyoffish?
 

Accoring to Alexa traffic dropped sharply in mid August. It was once in the top 400 sites, and now it's hovering around 9000.

they have had pof.com for a long time. This is nothing new. They only recently redirected from plentyoffish to pof. It used to redirect from pof to plentyoffish

Any idea how much they bought the domain for?

lol damn, thanks everybody. Just checked their Alexa and was shocked and posted right away without looking into it further. Interesting how they just now started the redirect after owning the shorter domain for awhile now.

It looks like POF and OKcupid still own the free dating space and social networking sites like FB don't seem to have impacted these free dating sites at all.
