Nice deal, but doesn't start till midnight.

CrocMint 10-04-2011 10:23 AM

And what if I will register domain for $1.99 and then transfer to another registrar when renewal date is close?

No problem with that, but Namecheap is the best registrar so don't see why you'd want to transfer.

No, it renews at regular price which is $9 something. I use Namecheap for all of my domains, they rock.

mineistaken 10-04-2011 11:21 AM

wtf this is for shitbook users only? Why don't you state that in thread title so people would not waste their time..

Chosen 10-04-2011 11:28 AM

Nice :pimp

woj 10-04-2011 11:31 AM

this is really only for facebook users?! and 1 one domain per account?!?
hardly worth the drama....

promotion FAIL....:error

EddyTheDog 10-04-2011 11:36 AM

If the other registrars where giving them away I would still use NameCheap.

I can reg a domain and have it set as a nameserver on a dedicated server and as a domain in less than 3 mins. It will be live in less than 5 mins.

Don't have a facebook account? Get a friend with facebook to click the little like button and give you the coupon. $1.99 for a domain that you could setup a quick blog/tgp/tube/whatever on and make profit by the end of the week, WIN.

CurrentlySober 10-04-2011 11:45 AM

i cant afford $1.99... This biz is BEYOND ME :(

do people tend to have confirmed FB accounts? As posted in this thread you must be confirmed, I asked couple friends and they sure did not even know what a confirmed Fb account was (as there was no point to confirm).
PS: I mean verified fb account, not confirmed.

blackmonsters 10-04-2011 12:07 PM

Too good to be true, therefore it isn't.

I have no idea on the answer to this, I use my facebook account every now and then and was able to get the coupon. They might just mean you have to signup for facebook and click the confirmation email maybe?

Anyways, it takes less then 30 seconds to setup a fbook account and you wouldn't even have to use it...signup, get the promo code, deactive the account if you want and boom you got a cheap ass domain. Even if I didn't have a fbook account it would be worth it to me because you can cheaply get a domain you have wanted and make money to justify the 30 second fbook signup time.

twistyneck 10-04-2011 08:01 PM

Okay you stupid fucks, listen up. You had to "Like" them on Facebook during their drive to get 10,000 likes. If you didn't do that, you don't qualify for the discount. Now go shoot yourselves in the face. Goddamn, I can't believe the retards on this board sometimes.

amateurcanada 10-04-2011 08:53 PM

namecheap is standup :)

thanks for the tip and I just got 1.99 domain

seems the people who hate facebook are the ones who have no friends in real life :upsidedow

u-Bob 10-05-2011 07:16 AM

Promo looked ok (not great since it's only for 1 domain) until I noticed you need a facebook account for this.

Why is it a stupid promotion? Its just a social media marketing campaign designed to increase their exposure. You give FB way too much credit for all your angst towards them. It takes 10 seconds to sign up for an FB account and receive the promotion, you don't have to ever use the account.
