I remember them as a kid, they give a great show and every kid that left the show wanted to fly a jet when they grew up.

Last time I was at a air show was over 8 years ago with my daughter, she went up in a helicopter and was all excited when she got back saying Daddy, we did 100 mph, sideways!!!!

I grew up near the ocean, and was a Sea Scout that loved both the sea and the air, so at 17 years young I joined the Navy as an Airman. Since you know me Brett, you know the story - I never went on a ship in 6 years, unless it was docked in port (I flew all over Asia for most of my six years in the Navy though).

I was a bartender @ Crolls in Alameda where I'm from, near the ol naval base..got all the "squids" in there. ha. Always cool dudes.. here was this long-haired bartender serving these guys drinks before they went back to the Vinson half in the bag. I appreciate the pics, kickass views. Nothin like the Bay.

Yeah I remember the conversation. My service was on board for 3 years of it, but stationed in Pearl , so that was pretty cool.

The Blue Angeles are amazing. Everyone should make a point to see them at least once in their lifetime. Make sure it is in good weather because on bad weather days they do an alternate show that is not as spectacular.

I had a picture on my wall for years of the open ocean, no ships, no nothing, just water. When someone asked what it was about,I told them it was my ship in the Navy, a submarine
