time shift it and find out....

Why don't you go ask your buds on the pirating boards...

The Breaking Bad producers are idiots. If they had any grasp of how to monetize their content they would forget cable, go straight to torrents and make money on product placement.

Fucker. I haven't seen last episode. Last I saw was Gus walking away from his car.

ottopottomouse 10-10-2011 07:36 PM

No. It means the ricin fag wasn't ricin it was made from the lillies so if it had been used on Gus they would have treated him for the wrong thing when they beat out of Jesse what the poison had been.

MrBottomTooth 10-10-2011 08:01 PM

Did the kid die? I haven't watched the last episode yet.

Remember Walt sitting at the table spinning his gun?

you talking about a little punk / prick that thinks it is ok to pirate content. I doubt he cares about spoiling anything. I don't even know why some of the people here even hold conversations with him much less spend hours arguing with the little shit stain.

mattz 10-10-2011 09:27 PM

he knew it wouldn't kill him

PornHustler 10-10-2011 09:44 PM

At the very end you see who poisoned the kid. They make it very clear.

Horny Dude 10-10-2011 10:34 PM

As this show has progressed you see that Walt is becoming a monster. He could have ended this long time ago. Gone to the DEA made a deal and gave up Gus and the whole cartel. Inside Walt loves this. He loves the power he now has. Now with all the kings out of the way he takes the throne. Walt did what ever he needed to do to keep his power trip. Watch next season when Walt starts to take over. It's going to be good.

candyflip 10-10-2011 11:04 PM

I thought this was awesome.

there are to many things that we believe Gus did just because walter said he did.

I have a feeling that walter did a lot of that shit to set up Gus and we (and jesse) are going to find all that out next season.

Of course he loves it. Otherwise, he would have let it rest when Hank thought that Gale was Heisenberg. Instead, he had to prolong the game that he's growing to love in a sick way.

Also, I think the poisoning of the kid is a progression of his character arc.

shiraz9944 10-13-2011 09:55 AM

Walt definitely has changed for the worse but if you watch the last 15 mins or so of the episode I think it's clear he poisoned the child. I don't think it intended to kill him and you can see genuine relief when jesse tells him he will make it (Walt doesn't fake well). Then probably the most revealing moment when he phones Skylar basically admitting what he had done and basically not making any excuses with the single phrase "I won". Also when he says that one little phrase look at his face.....at first he looks demonic much like Gus, then when he tells her he won, he almost looks defeated and almost crying. Kind of like when you're on a mission to accomplish something and then when it's all done you almost feel unsatisfied.......the journey was all the fun/drive, and he sees what he is becoming or has become. Either way these small details always mean something as we have seen in this show. The song playing when he talks to Skylar I think is Lissie, and the words I remembered hearing "Until you travel to a place you can't come back". When he looks at the station wagon.......meaning he is gone and cannot return, the new Gus, and he actually grins when he looks at the medallion. So many emotions in such a short time frame makes it so difficult to figure it all out, but that is what life is really like, so hard to describe, so many emotions.

I do agree the show highlights what hides beneath the surface for most people. What we are truly capable of when we are pushed to our limit. Walt and Jesse for that matter are governed by their emotions.....Walt less as each season progresses, their decisions are based on them. Gus on the other hand was cold, calculating and completely ruthless but on the other hand I don't think Gus harmed Brock. I almost felt slightly sad when Gus went, he was vicious yes, but he was honest and kept his word. Maybe it's just me LOL but he ran everything as a business with no emotion involved and I think that is what it takes to run something as large adn complex as his operation or even a wall street firm. I don't see Walt running the operation well, too much emotion.

my bad, the song is norah jones and danger mouse........same lyrics though.

If you have ever heard Vince Gilligan or Cranston talk about the role, that is exactly the journey he's on.

Recall what he said to his wife on the phone at the end of the episode he said, "I won." not "We're safe." or "Everything is okay." he said, "I won."

jimmy-3-way 10-13-2011 10:06 AM

Also notice how Walt's wardrobe has changed throughout the seasons. Recall in S1 he dressed in grey and taupe and bland non-colors. Then compare with what he was wearing at the end of S5: a bright lime green shirt.

nice post...you have posted more in the last two days then you have in the last ten years

shiraz9944 10-13-2011 10:13 AM

actually he said exactly that "it's ok, we're safe" right before he said "I won"

Just shows how complex of a character he is but at the same time a normal guy. We will probably never know completely what it all means, damn the show is good.

Walt definitely poisoned Brock. It's foreshadowed in the previous episode where he spins the gun and it stops facing the lilly plant. It's confirmed in the finale when they show the lilly plant at the end. Walt had no choice. The only way to outsmart Gus was to play at his own game. Walt had to win back Jesse by manipulating him into believing Gus poisoned Brock. Huell lifted the ricin cigarette when he frisked Jesse in Saul's office, and I believe Saul poisoned Brock when he gave him candy on Walt's command. The past season has really shown how out of control Walt is. He's completely lost all sense of right and wrong, and will do anything to remain on top / in control. I think season 5 will be really exciting. I predict Hank will finally discover Walt's involvement with Gus, and Jesse will wonder what happened to the ricin cigarette, and will realize that Walt ultimately poisoned Brock. I hope Mike makes some appearances too :). He was way too involved in the story to just get dropped.

Edit: I think it's crazy how he's wearing the same green colored shirt that he wears in the first episode. I think it shows how he's come back to square one. He's a little richer, but has no cook gig and his family is still completely torn apart.

Fuck i'm way toooo into Breaking Bad :Oh crap

Well that's what I get for watching BB drunk, I swear I missed that.

shiraz9944 10-13-2011 10:22 AM

I've been around since before that......around 1999, I just try to keep a low profile and read the boards and not post as much, but for some reason I like posting more now. Didn't realize the song also said something about everything being black......the clouds turning from white into black. Just sort of reinforcing the previous lyrics. He is such a conflicted guy you can see it in his face so much, he goes thru 5 different emotions in 2 minutes, it really is awesome. I really do think he is cast as a normal guy going thru extraordinary circumstances, displaying what probably a lot of us would be like in a similar situation.

Brad 10-13-2011 11:09 AM

I thought that was pretty questionable of him. That said, he has been getting darker and darker over the seasons. I am curious to see what the last season holds. I'll be pretty disappointed if he just dies in the end because it's so expected.

shiraz9944 10-13-2011 11:25 AM

I know I said I think he did poison Brock but I keep seeing his face and it looks genuine when Jesse tells him it wasn't Ricin. Maybe it's just a look of confusion because he thought there would be no question on the cause. Then again they pan with no illusion to the plant at the end. Walt takin the Darth Vader life plan LOL. Was cool when he called his wife though, when he told her it was him she was horrified, and then a second later sort of swept back that he protected his family to such an extent (if that was the real reason). I don't love her character but I definitely disliked Carmella on the Sopranos more, she really got me going.........at least Skyler is reasonable.

How bout this thought.......the voice on the phone telling Gus it was all clear did sound different than Tyrus.....sort of like Mike. Think Jesse had enough in him to be an even greater manipulator than Walt? Would be one hell of a way out for him to set it all up.

That might be a bit much...........might be overthinking it but I wouldn't put it past the writers to do something that bold. I will definitely miss Gus and his weekly "Hello Hector" and "Look at me Hector"

shiraz9944 10-13-2011 02:16 PM

bump.............anybody else have some insights?
