SEO question. Hyphenate or don't hyphenate domain name?

I have a specific search term that I can either buy a hyphenated domain for, or a non.

Nobody is using the search term and it is 3 words.

Should I register no-search-term.com or nosearchterm.com ?

Never could figure that one out but any advice/experience appreciated! :thumbsup

hyphens work well for seo, but it depends on the keywords, non-hyphenated usually work just as well if it is obvious where the words are separated

that is purely for seo

for branding people prefer non-hyphenated, but you asked about seo

True in my experience. SE algos have become quite good in parsing domain names but many keyword domains can not always be parsed correctly.

whorepresents.com could parse as "who represents".com
or as "whore presents".com

who-represents.com would always parse as "who represents".com since hyphens parse as a space. Much like "and", "the", etc

therapistfinder.com

Only go with hyphenated if you have to. But stay on your shit, because if you don't then somebody can buy the hyphenated version and take your spot very easily. I've done it to people. :pimp

I almost always go without hyphen. If It's a term I really like and only the hyphened one is available I would ofc buy It.

Yeah ... but bear in mind that approximately 72% of all recited stats are made up on the spot. :Oh crap
