Advice needed . . . accepting payments for online artwork?
Obviously, this has screw all to do with adult. You're a clever bunch, though, so I figured you could help.
I'm creating a website for my wife to sell her artwork. What would be the best way to accept payments. The obvious choice would be a paypal shopping cart. What do ya think? |

I have to agree, PayPal is going to be your best option I think. Good luck to your wife! :-)

I can't remember what it was exactly, but I looked at it when I was talking to a local art gallery about setting things up so that the stuff in the gallery would be sold online. But whatever I found....where ever I found it...was designed for it, and worked with WordPress. That's off topic though.
To answer your question, of course the paypal cart. But why not offer as many options as possible and look at Checkout by Amazon and Google Checkout as well? I don't go along with the notion that using paypal will save anyone from getting burned. But without a merchant account of your own, it's nearly a must-use. |

Hi,
Paypal cart will be good for her as she is starting out,. If she starts doing a good number of transactions, we can help her establish a merchant account, processing and very nice looking cart that will integrate nicely into what I am sure will be a beautifully designed website to begin with since it is an art site. Let me know if we can assist in the future. Thanks, Mitch |
