iPhone 4S sets record sales
 

Sprint reported its best sales day to date today. The iPhone family (Sprint is selling the iPhone 4 too) set a record for sales for Sprint in one day. They passed that mark by 1pm today. Some estimates are Apple will sell 4 million iPhone 4S phones this weekend in the US. The iPhone 4 sold 1.7M in its 1st weekend. Apple had 10 million on hand for the launch of the 4S today which also includes phones for the U.K., Canada, Australia, France, Germany, and Japan.

AAPL is up over 3% today.

haha that's so true. Think different doesn't apply anymore. I know a lot of people that have an iPhone, and its not because they're the best phone -- the people I'm talking about are mostly tech-phobic/retarded people that want to show me the pretty pictures they can take. Not to generalize, but its for drones that are brainwashed and don't ever look at any other product because they're so wrapped up in Apple World. When I see people waiting on line the first day for the iPhone, I pray for an airstrike.

It's really not a bad phone though -- it's just the mindless devotion to these products I don't understand.

I never thought I would be buying one, but I ordered one last week... I need to check out the voice technology. Seems pretty sweet, would be very helpful to me.

Otherwise, the whole "Apple movement" cracks me up... congratulations to Steve Jobs for convincing so many "open-minded people" to live and die by an extreme capitalistic company, LOL.

My brother got the 4S today, it looks just like the iphone 4. I still think my galaxy S2 is better.

Not true -

I really shop around for phones. I bought my first iPhone 3 years ago but not before I compared it to all kinds of other phones out there. At the time it just did a lot more than anything else on the market.

Today, same thing. Lots of Andoid phones are really slick but the problem is that they run Andoid - the standards are different so the software just isn't quite as good.

My iPhone never crashes, never hands, and never drops calls except for 1 zone that I know of. It's light and fast and does everything with a batter that lasts forever. I've dropped it down the stairs and stepped on in (on carpet) and it still works perfectly.

I'm not screaming Apple or iPhone is the best - I'm saying its the best for me. You shouldn't hate the company for no reason - instead, open your mind a little and check out the store. Really take your time and shop and compare and no matter what you buy in the end, it will be the best damn product for you.

Apple = Amazing products. Nothing else even compares from what I have tried. Best laptops, desktops, and operating system.

It's all about the user experience. This is what all others have failed at so far in comparison.

Oh yeah! my balls! reasons like iTunes? the worst software ever made? it is not the best gadget since it lacks so many primary functions and gives you so many shitty functions and apps.

I bought an iphone 4 more than one year ago for the only purpose to work on my mobile site on the most used mobile. But still I hate all stupids fanatics that are so pumped for having a mobile with an apple printed on back.
I watched iterviews where ppl over 25 said they were born and grew with apple and nothing else but apple's products were allowed to enter in their lives and houses.
I call them apple-zombies who wandering around showing the applephone are silently crying to the world: "look at me, i own an iPhone. I'm better than you all losers who do not own one or own an old model. You all must consider me!". That's what ppl are looking for: a better illusory social status!

Actually, I just want a phone that's easy to use and has a solid app base.

The case covers the Apple Logo and EVERYBODY I know uses a case so there goes that lame ass ignorant theory.

I've been using an iPhone for years. I upgrade every other version. Why? Because faster is better and the product just works.
