His first prediction failed because he didn't use the right biblical verses. Numbers and Ezekiel point to a 1 day = 1 year principle.

Also, if the woman in white in Revelation is the basis for his prediction, nowhere does it say that the "cleansing of the sanctuary" implies an earthly sanctuary (aka End of the World).

Indeed, the Bible supports more the concept of a heavenly sanctuary similar to Jesus' proclamation of a heavenly kingdom at his death being mistaken for an earthly kingdom.
