Help me assemble a Staples office chair? Wheels/castors won't go in
Does it take a whole lot of pressure to push the wheels in the base of the chair? I can't do it! Any tips?

maybe talk to amacontent (joe) about this matter.

If the casters have a long shank on them that go's quite far in before the final push to click them in then what you can do is line the remaining 4 up and gently sit on the chair and then slowly place body weight in the general direction of each caster that needs to be pushed home... I have managed to do it this way before.

rubber mallet ...
tried that, it doesn't work. I think these need to go in at a certain angle... the part that goes in is metal and there is a ring around it that has a gap at one point...
ok, all wheels are in. that was just step 1 and took me an hour
you need a man.
Beat off over them..it needs some lube
you could have just put all four wheel in as for as they can go turn the chair up right and just sit in it. all wheels will click/snap in. thats what i did

I know exactly what you're going through and you're afraid of breaking it but you wont.

Please stop and call a professional before you hurt yourself.

Been there with a chair. Chair casters seem to be an exception to the rule "if you have to force it you're doing it wrong".
