MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas

Gotta go Brock. But maybe not. Think Alistair came over from Strikeforce. Watching some Strikeforce lately. There are a couple pretty bad assed dudes in Strikeforce that might raise hell in the UFC.

Along with Overeem, David "Tarzan" Douglas is another. Dude just goes thru people. Nick Diaz keeps winning in Stikeforce too.

Love my MMA. :thumbsup

Overeem will knock Brock out

Scott McD 10-24-2011 07:38 AM

I've still never got into UFC.

I just find most the fights end up on the floor with not much happening. I know i am wrong with this, but it's just how i personally see it...

Arton 10-24-2011 09:23 AM

Brock is a Legend but Alistair is Animal and he will win by KO
Anyway great fight is comming :)

nice match

Evil Chris 10-24-2011 01:51 PM

Hard to say. All these fights seem fixed to me.

fuzebox 10-24-2011 05:42 PM

I want to see Overeem win but he looked awful in the Werdum fight... I hope he brings it because when Brock is on he's on.

adultchatpay 10-24-2011 05:55 PM

I'll go with Brock! Great wrestler, raging power, good g and p.
100% this fight won't go the distance.

But AO can KNFO people with one punch!

Mike Honcho 10-25-2011 12:02 AM

If Brock is able to successfully take Overeem down then he will win the fight, however if he catches a knee during a shot or is caught by a overhand and or clinch he will lose.

Lets hope one of them doesn't test positive for a cycle.

Brock Lesnar goes into this match as an underdog, a position that is not new to him with the added factor of 14 months of ?ring rust?. Although more experienced and the tipsters favourite Overeem showed a complete unwillingness to engage on the floor against BJJ specialist Fabricio Werdum, his last opponent.

SZNY 11-23-2011 03:00 AM

Overeem will eat him up :D

How did he look awful? A classic matchup between an elite grappler vs elite striker.
He didn't look great, but most MMA fans are fickle with distorted opinions.

Maybe "awful" is harsh, I just wasn't impressed with the fight... He didn't engage and his cardio wasn't that great. Maybe I'm thinking of a different fight?

He didn't destroy Werdum which I think why people considered it a bad performance. So I can see your point. And to add that a K1 Champ was being outstriked by a grappler. But its all relative when considering styles makes fight. His cardio actually impressed me as he went 15 mins @ 258+

adultchatpay 12-15-2011 08:29 AM

Alistair had bunch of losses against legit UFC contenders. youtube his fights and you can see his lack of explosiveness at some point. Can't wait for ufc 141!

Overeem said ?He is great at takedowns and controlling people on the ground, but I can stop his takedowns and he is no match for me on the feet. I am going to rip Brock Lesnar apart, piece by piece.?

Lesnar's UFC return ends quickly against Alistair Overeem

http://www.latimes.com/media/photo/2011-12/67078152.jpg

The 34-year-old heavyweight announces his retirement after he loses by technical knockout at the 2:26 mark of the first round. Overeem will get a title shot.

dynastoned 12-31-2011 03:54 AM

man i swear a lot of new mma fans have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. they think if someone hasn't fought in the UFC they are nobodies. it is completely opposite of that in a lot of cases. if anything alistair is the legend of the two fighters. hes been fighting top contenders for probably 10 years in various different fighting leagues.

although he has lost to a few big names he has beat a couple as well. he definitely has an all around skill set for mma and that is something brock does not have. brock is a very raw fighter that is good at just one or two things. while alistair is well versed in all of the above a true mma fighter. before this fight even happened i had overeem as a heavy favorite. but as with any fight anything can happen. however in this one overeem just showed his experience and brock showed the lack of experience. completely outclassed and overeem made him look amateur. anyone with any knowledge of mma should not be surprised by this outcome.

werdum is a game fighter hes been in pride, ufc, and strikeforce. i mean he still beat him and it isn't like werdum is some no name fighter. this guy has beat both the Emelianenko brothers. who in the world can say that (nobody)?

Road to wrestlemania starts tomorrow for Brock it seems. He said he planned for one more UFC bout if he had beaten Overeem, I think he will take a $4 or 5 million payday for a one off match at wrestlemania where he doesnt have to take any legit shots. Surely whilst training for this bout it must have become obvious that his body couldn't take any shots since his surgery. No real suprise that he signed image deal and shot promo for the new WWE 12 game. Dissapointing, I had high hopes for the fight :(

fuzebox 12-31-2011 12:00 PM

I feel bad for Brock. Here's a guy who should have had a decent career as one of the top fighters but can't shake his health issues :(

You do know he came in the fight injured right ? and he dropped werdum a couple times while he was trying to pull gard and buttflop.

It definitly wasn't his greatest performance, but he won ti.

Doctor Dre 12-31-2011 12:57 PM

Reem has been tested quite a few times, as of now, he's the most tested fighter in the sport. If you look, he gained 7-8 pounds of muscle a year.

- Pride linear champion
- Dream HW champion
- Strikeforce HW champion
- K-1 champ

The guy is #1... he's going to face #2 in the title in Dos Santos.
