How many times does an athlete new to your favorite team have to completely screw up before you realize your team got a bad player? Same here Mark, you can still be a Democrat fan boy and also realize that Obama has been nothing but FAIL. Everything GW Bush did wrong, Obama has tripled.

The Demon 10-21-2011 02:19 PM

********** is proven idiot. To even fake objectivity takes a modicum of intelligence.

The majority of the formerly pro-Obama supporters in the 2008 election wanted to break the ultimate glass ceiling and place a black man in the White House and make history. Now that this taboo has been shattered, and the goal achieved, and most of his campaign promises exposed as lies, a huge amount of wind has been let out of Obama's sails. As passionate as his initial supporters were in 2008, his current detractors will now make sure he is a one term President.

Bin Laden and Gaddafi were just small positive blips. Our country is on its knees financially, and that is the biggest issue, by far. People won't take it anymore. The Tea Party will be victorious.

Whats it to you? You being Canadian should mind your own business.

But then I guess the Obama cock tastes pretty good.

The Demon 10-21-2011 03:58 PM

When you have **********, bft3k, and slutboat on the left, how can you NOT be a republican?

TheSquealer 10-21-2011 03:59 PM

What I get from most of the political threads on GFY is that it apparently sucks to be Canadian. Since so few want to talk about Canada and Canadian politics.

hm... compare them to SallyRand, onedree, 12clicks and yourself... i dont know which side is worse. What i do know is that the side doesn't matter and that the D and R are invented to create the illusion of choice for sheep believing in that illsusion, while in reality it doesn't matter which of the 2 is in charge, because at the end of the day their motives are exactly the same. If you still cannot see that you are short sighted and naive.

While I cannot speak for anyone else, the problem with your example is that to lump me in with this group, you have to be smarter than me on any level, which you don't come close and therefore continue proving my point.

Must be hard to come up with limited commentary like that given your total and complete lack of imagination.

Someone says something you don't agree with and you lump them together as heretic's and naysayers so you can deal with them by laughing it off instead of offering any reasoning for your point of view.

I don't know what side you are answering to, I'm for whats best for the country. If Obama's policies started working by the time his term is up, I would vote for him for a second, can you say the same if it doesn't start working. As in vote for someone else? Using the unemployment rate as a stick to measure by?

kane 10-22-2011 12:41 AM

While I am not going to defend Obama, I will say that he deserves credit for the Bin Laden, Gadhafi, and Anwar al-Awlak.

He played the Gadhafi game 100% correctly. He got Nato on our side. We spent about the same amount of money as we spend in one day funding Afghanistan and we lost zero American lives. Now, hopefully, the Libyan people will see us as friends, but we can't be sure.

This said, there is a poll that shows foreign affairs only takes up about 2-3% of what people care about right now. It is all about the economy so while these are big wins for Obama, they are, politically speaking, all for naught if the economy doesn't improve.

What amuses me to death is that the republicans will absolutely not give him any credit what's so ever. They will credit everyone but him or anyone who had anything to do with his administration. They are so entrenched in their game of getting him out of office that he could likely cure cancer and the republicans would complain about the cost or how long it took.

Frank21 10-22-2011 02:17 AM

what would be sucking if you dont like a noble peaceprice winner who is involved in more wars as any president before him, and whoms vice-president laughs out loud when she hears about the lynching of a african being Gaddafi.
You got it allll wrong mate it sucks to be a Obama voter who turns out to be more neo-conservative as mc cain.

Pornwolf 10-22-2011 02:37 AM

I don't see how Ghaddafi (or bin laden, or Hussein) is any of America's business.

It's all a side show to feed the war money machine. Without them there would be a lot of soldiers out of work and on the street.

AtlantisCash 10-22-2011 02:45 AM

guess some tax lovers in this thread ;)

A lot of it is distractions.

To quote Lupe Fiasco :
I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bullshit
Just a poor excuse for you to use up all your bullets
How much money does it take to really make a full clip
9/11 building 7 did they really pull it
Uhh, And a bunch of other cover ups
Your childs future was the first to go with budget cuts
If you think that hurts then, wait here comes the uppercut
The school was garbage in the first place, that's on the up and up

Yea, the guy who spent in 8 years what Obama spent in 3? Think everyone misses him when the economy is concerned. Obama had been more than capable of handling foreign affairs though.

Oh, poor Obama. All the big bad Republicans are beating him up on the playground. It's probably because his skin is a bit darker than the other kids.

I will lick a little gold star and paste it on his report card in the foreign affairs column.

There, are you happy?

Obama has turned out to be a very good foreign policy President (and Hillary definitely deserves some of that credit) at a time when the country desperately needs a very good domestic policy President. His big successes have been getting Bin Laden, thwarting terrorist attacks, working out backroom deals with Pakistan and other key players in modern international security and so on...

However, that doesn't excuse the fact that he allowed the energy sector to continue being virtually unregulated... a problem that started with Bush but was allowed by Obama to fester to the point where BP flooded the gulf coast with crude oil. It also doesn't excuse the fact that Obama has failed to restore the rule of law and in particular Habeas Corpus by keeping Gitmo open and even allowing American Citizens to be targeted for assassination without any due process. Unemployment continues to officially hover around 10% and unofficially closer to 30% even as many hundreds of thousands of American citizens are about to lose their unemployment benefits.

The red shirts and blue shirts will spend all day cherry-picking individual accomplishments or failures to claim he is a total success or a complete failure. The fact is he is neither, just like every other President in our history with the possible exception of Grant and W. Bush who were absolute failures or Lincoln who did pretty much everything right.

Obama has proven to be the right man at the wrong time from my point of view and that's a slogan any truly savvy Republican candidate ought to seize for campaigning purposes. The thing he has going for him the most heading into 2012 is the fact that no meaningful GOP challenger has emerged and it seems likely they may even run a religious zealot against him. If Bloomberg or someone of his level were to enter the race he would be a one term President, if its Bachman or Perry he will still win in a landslide. Not because he is doing enough to solve unemployment but because 'somewhat helpful' is still much more desirable than 'batshit crazy' in an oval office candidate. :2 cents:

Like I said, I wasn't defending him. I was just humored by it.

The reality is that it makes the republicans look dumb, arrogant and petty. Of course the reality is had the election gone the other way and McCain won and had the same results the democrats would have likely responded the same way.
