Afghanistan doesn't have any oil. Not that I disagree with your statement. Nevertheless, we shouldn't be sending a dime, or troops to countries who are clearly enemies.

I did say gas as well. If you notice the route of this pipe is the area which the troops are fighting in.

I read about this proposed pipeline ages ago. Probably more than a decade. Thanks for the link, I forgot all about it. It could certainly be a reason we're there, if OSB and the Taliban didn't want to allow the pipeline, well then they had to go.
