wtf? i keep seeing that message multiple times per day but I NEVER SEND ANY AUTH REQUESTS? what is this shit about? anyone else seeing this bummy shit? i am pretty pissed :mad:

Yeah I get the same thing, didn't know if it was because I was using Trillian or what so I just keep ICQ signed off for now.

I got tons of it! every seconds I have authorization denied I did not remember that I have added this people LOL

I still have an ICQ account but hardly use it anymore. Most of my contacts are on Skype these days.

Have you guys checked for a Trillian update? Every few years ICQ changes their protocol and the clients need to be updated.

I'm telling you, every adult webmaster needs to download and use Oovoo messenger. It's fucking awesome and never has any problems! On top of that it's high tech shit.

I am getting those fake invites on Pidgin on LINUX -- it is the ICQ Servers -- DST bought them 4/2010 then troubles started.

The Russian ICQ spammers found a way to send any user authorization declined messages, if you look at the auth messages they contain a URL, they probably hope people are stupid enough to open the URL

Where would the URL be coming up? One of my design people has been getting these things all the time, but, when he showed it to me, it was just a weird declined bubble.

It depends on the client you are using. If you use Audium / Pidgin it shows a decline window on the screen, which contains a URL.

I think they send it to random numbers, and hope some of them are using clients that will display the decline message on the screen.

Ya I got about 10 in the last few days or so. Not sure wtf is up with that.
