Cybergae\UGAS are they paying out?

I remember something about them not paying out - Am I imagining it or is that the case?

I was thinking of doing a few sites to see how they are doing these days....

Thanks

Nah, Dave stopped paying out a while ago.

signupdamnit 10-24-2011 01:23 PM

Too many affiliates were taking advantage of Dave so he reluctantly decided he needed to take the money and run. It was a last resort. It's all those greedy affiliates who want their rebill payments for life. Blame them, not Dave.

He probably won't be showing his face around here anymore.

I really thought he was different but his actions showed otherwise.

I just got off the phone with Tri-Tech. They told me flat out that CyberSexNetwork is dead and will not be paying out anymore (I'm out almost $500) that they are walking away with. CyberAge stopped paying me 6 months ago so I believe it's the same there. So basically, CA and CSN are finally gone. Tsk, back in the day they were my very best converting and paying AVS. I've got about 20 of those Tri-Tech sites I need to figure out what to do with. Seems to be the way with so many of these adult companies, when they are ready to go under they just run with all your money and drop off the radar.

epitome 10-24-2011 03:32 PM

The sad part is if you believe Dave's story, he is still making a ton of money on other things so its not like THEY went broke, just the company. Who knows the truth though...

I can understand it when a company and it's owner(s) hit rock bottom but when its just a company that goes bust, well that is when you see a persons character.

Did they give you any explanation as to why you wouldn't be getting the money you were owed? I remember you emailing them months ago asking for your payment.

That was just Dave's ego talking, he wasn't going to let on that he was hurting financially. He was late to adapt from his old models and when he tried to launch Camsnetwork, it failed miserably as it was basically a glorified cams.com white label with his own billing.

Good question. I asked the person on the phone about how they were handling the outstanding monies owed to me. She just sort of sounded naive and said, "yaaaa, um, I don't think they are issuing any more checks, sooo, uh.... ya."

At least they talked to me. The last time I called a few weeks ago the dude flat out hung up the phone on me for asking the question. I called back and when he recognized my voice, click went the phone again.

I can understand and sympathize when a company goes BK, I cannot however understand outright rudeness and disrespect.

The poker "tell" was that he posted nonstop about doing well, being innovative, etc., etc.

porno jew 10-24-2011 06:59 PM

this could have been averted by posting in house loaded cash stats.

Yes, same thing I recall. What seemed weird is that he seemed completely out of touch with all of the changes that had taken place in adult from 2007-2010. I got the feeling he took a break from adult for a while. His income dropped dramatically and when he came back to get things goin again, he was clueless on what was going on. He would announce something as if it was some great new thing, when in reality it had already been done a couple years ago. He put up some video site and tried to claim it wasn't a tube, yet it was exactly a tube.

I was under the impression that he was into real estate ... I even did some property record digging back then and it appeared that he was at least up to something ... probably not enough to support the lifestyle he had become accustomed to.

Cyberage (Agecheck) was one of our very first merchants back in 1998. They thrived for many years. I wish those guys luck in their future endeavors.

So you have no issues with them living in mansions and driving multiple sports cars while ripping off people they owe money to?
