Dead musicians

If you could bring back a few dead musicians, which ones would you bring back?

I'd bring back John Lennon for sure.

PR_Glen 10-24-2011 02:01 PM

Cobain, Morrison, Lennon, Harrison, Elvis, Hendrix, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, beethoven, mozart and bach...

but then i think... how bad would some of these be if they lived another 30 years? Some more than others ;)

Jarmusch 10-24-2011 02:05 PM

I wouldn't bring any fucking drug addict back, that's for sure.

Morrison and Cobain come to mind... they were both very sick people.

Huge fan of SRV. When he died, well that was just too fucked up. A helicopter of all things.

actually the more that i think about it there isn't one person on my list that wasn't suffering from some form of chemical dependency or battled serious depression either... The only one that lived beyond their prime was Elvis...and he wasn't all that bad at the end..just kinda fat :)

I know Cat Stevens isn't dead, but finding a couple different religions over the years sure killed his music that's for sure... That guy was/is talented...

Freddy Mercury... good one!

jerryb 10-25-2011 06:30 AM

Henry Mancini, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, Donald Young, Count Basie, Hank Williams to name a few off the top of my head.

You seriously don't think Cobain or Morrison were dependant or had depression?

Both good.

I think if Zappa were still alive, he'd be doing amazing things with music.

I said that wasn't, meaning they all were. Mozart most definitely had both.

stephane76 10-25-2011 07:46 AM

how about Bob Marley?

garce 10-25-2011 02:14 PM

Why bring back a dead musician? Unless they died recently, they'd be in their 50's to 80's and probably be really pissed off.

Why would you want to do that?

His liver wasn't working and he was shitting his pants before he died.

Quagmire 10-25-2011 02:27 PM

Forget Cobain, the real talent in Nirvana survived. Dave Grohl

video unrelated.
