WP scheduled posts question
If i set up some posts to appear in the future on a wordpress blog, does there need to be vistors to "trigger" the post appearing?
The reason why i ask is that i set up a test blog and scheduled a post then i went back to the blog admin a couple of weeks later and it told me that the scheduled post has been missed. As its a test blog, it got no visitors at all. I'm trying to work out if the post missed its slot because there is a problem or if its just becasue no-one went to the blog? Cheers. |
Hit's shouldn't matter, once the clock is triggered it should post. Strange

wp has its own internal cron and most of the plugin uses it to trigger things, like future updates, backups, creating post.
amount of surfers doesnt matter at all. u can even call wp's internal cron manually., and check if the posting works or not., |
Bollocks! Okay, thanks guys.
