looking for light weight image cropping software?

Paid or free.

Needs to be able to handle large files and different image file types.

Can anyone recommend anything?

Not looking for an auto cropper - looking for a program that can crop to dimensions and does not need to do a whole lot more than that.

thanks

Yup use easy thumbs for resizing, need something for cropping - no need for batching at all either.

thanks

Something like Jcrop work? There are a number script based solutions out there. I know for a fact that CF has a cfimage tag... I am sure PHP must have the equiv too.

Irfan View. By far the best and it's free. I use it most of the time to replace Photoshop since quality is about the same but it's 10x faster and has way more control than PS on batch files :thumbsup

Gimp is great. It's used by major movie studios including Pixar and George Lucas's ILM effects studio. It's a lot like Photoshop, not a super light weight cropping tool.

The first one is fast and free - FastStone Capture

There is a free Photo Resizer app on their download page at the bottom, that might be handy also.

(enable users to convert, rename, resize, crop, rotate, change color depth, add text and watermarks to images in a quick and easy batch mode)

It feels less bloated then Photoshop though, I use Gimp for all my resizing.
