Fucking Firefox & Adobe crashing

I don't know what it is, every fucking hour it crashes. Window freezes up, AVG warning comes up that its eating up more than 400mb of ram then *POOF* its done.

I've reinstalled the adobe update a dozen times, but now its time to just delete it.

Anyone else having this problem or does my firefox have AIDS?

JamesChoopa 10-27-2011 08:44 AM

Mine has been acting up as well... Not as bad but definitely at an annoying rate!

Rochard 10-27-2011 08:44 AM

No problems at all really.... Use both at the same time every morning.

brassmonkey 10-27-2011 08:47 AM

yep crashes quite a bit

directfiesta 10-27-2011 08:49 AM

switched back to IE... Firefox had a nice run , but it is over now.

Choopa Phil 10-27-2011 08:52 AM

Why 10-27-2011 09:28 AM

Yup. I just switched over to Chrome. Takes some getting used to but it runs a hell of a lot better than Firefox.

digitalfantasies 10-27-2011 09:32 AM

well, it does sound like AIDS, I suggest to take some blood samples of your browser and bring it to the nearest lab...

Emil 10-27-2011 09:37 AM

I had the same error!
Try to turn of the hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Settings / Advanced / General... or something like that.

Caligari 10-27-2011 09:45 AM

which version? i am using latest (updated) version of ff 3.6 and it works fine, newer versions suck!
but i also use chrome for site checking.
screw exploder.

Scott McD 10-27-2011 11:02 AM

I dumped FF a while back. Fucked up way too many times...

Bird 10-27-2011 11:25 AM

Fuck at least once per day. Not only FireFIX and Abobo but I also get Apple updater popping up and eating my memory too. The combination of these fuck my shit up bad.

DigitalTheory 10-27-2011 12:15 PM

Mine was doing that a few weeks ago, I had to get rid of an add-on and the problem was solved. I don't recall which one it was though.

Overload 10-27-2011 12:50 PM

still using FF 3.6.18 and zero probs :D

patavax 10-27-2011 10:59 PM

Same issue here. Since the last update (August 2011?) it crashes all the time. I switched to Chrome.

JJota 10-27-2011 11:07 PM

similar problem here, ffox 7 crashes very often and adobe plugin even more...

i would say 3-4 times daily, every day...

something must be wrong with the latest updates...

i use many extensions but i have always used them and ffox never crashed
with such high frequency....

i really hope the updates get this problem solved....

Spunky 10-27-2011 11:10 PM

Adobe is the culprit..always has been

martinsc 10-27-2011 11:13 PM

try to load firefox without addons (file -> help -> restart with addons disabled) to see if there is maybe another addon that is fucking things up....

kane 10-27-2011 11:26 PM

I used to have the same issue with Firefox. It would either freeze up or crash and it drove me crazy. I ended up switching to Chrome and am glad I did.

Although some people told me if I went back to a previous build of Firefox it might fix my issue so you might try that.

john FVC 10-28-2011 12:51 AM

Same issue here and only use FF from time to time to check browser compatibility.

Maybe someone will see it now.

grumpy 10-28-2011 03:25 AM

no probs at all. Sounds like you are visiting a site with corrupted flash

Yes, no font is taken more seriously than comic sans. Good choice.

After trying out the above, please report the bug. I once had a Firefox "bug report" (actually a feature request) done overnight.

I had problems worth Flash before. Currently Flash seems to be fine using Firefox's big brother, Seamonkey. Seamonkey is better for people who know something, like webmasters, because Firefox is basically a dumbed down version of Seamonkey.
