Occupy Oakland: Interesting Coincidence

How many times can these "coincidences" occur? Just as the police began "following orders", as they have said, and started attacking the reportedly peaceful demonstrators, the two major networks covering the event turned off their cameras because both their helicopters ran out of gas at the same time...

I guess I'm crazy but that's quite a coincidence - 2 choppers need to refuel just as the police start with the flash-bangs and rubber bullets.

:D

Nobody finds it "interesting" that both major networks and a ground crew turned off their feeds before the violence started?

Kinda reminds me of the Bush policies not to let reporters into New Orleans after the hurricane, and not to allow the broadcast of dead bodies there and in Irak, as well as the post-BP disaster dictum to keep people from taking pictures of the damage...

Reminds me of one actual journalist's comment about how video and the site of dead US soldiers in Vietnam helped end that war, inciting the protest of Mr. and Mrs. everybody outside the "fringes" of the so-called anti-war/hippie movement...

Seems lessons have been learned...

"major" networks are policed and told where and when they can go anywhere. this was no coincidence, its controlled and was purposefully done.

cnn and fox employ military people and have branches of military onboard and are definitely no longer just freelance journalists roaming to get a story, they are positioned and removed as the powers see fit. especially aircraft, military says shut it down, they do... and thats that.

That is truly a shame to have to consider in this country.
We say that we stand united for liberty and freedom ...

You could say the same thing about any country now. The U.S. just hogs all the press.

Get out while you still can.

You'll also notice that its really hard to find any serious news outlets making a big story out of police brutality at any of the protests. On CNN, I had to use the site search just find the Oakland flash bang incident.

Walter Cronkite admied to being a communist and slanting the reporting of the war, which the other press picked up on and has not stopped to this day
