its a while before i see results and not guaranteed.

Yeah, but make sure you check references. It could either save you a ton of time or be a complete waste of money.

Bottom line is no its not worth it.

Every SEO company is going to surcharge you for somethign you could train somebody to do for you. Think of it this way, if they were actually competent SEO wise, why would they whore themselves out as workers when they could rank their own sites and make much more money?

best method: do it yourself (learn seo)!

I seem to have had a different experience to most respondents to this post, I think SEO is worth it, i get more traffic via SEO than buying traffic

Nobody is saying don't do any SEO. The question is whether to hire someone to do it for you.

Honestly people should just buy some seo software and do it themselves.
