Here's a link for those who are interested: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/1...n_1070725.html

Just add it to the long list of flubs, flip-flops, and "misstatements" from the lips of Herman Cain.

Obama supporters have nothing to be scared of. They will eat this guy for breakfast in the general election.

Caligari 11-02-2011 07:53 AM

Cain- "I kinda like my guns and my bible"
China's first nuke test 1964, they currently have at least a few hundred.
He is seriously out of touch, perfect candidate.

Cain has NO political experience, this shouldn't surprise anyone.

Not knowing that China is a nuclear power is world record dumb.

Too dumb to have access to the red button. :1orglaugh

Do you predict, then, that Obama will win in fifty-seven states, with Cain winning in only one? He's popular in countries like Europe, so unless another tornado kills 10,000 people you may be right.

We may have to choose between Cain, a successful guy who doesn't know much about China's nuclear program, and Obama, who doesn't know how many states there are and thinks Europe is a country.

I actually like the idea he has NO political experience, The country might stand a chance if he gets elected!

So he's not big on what other countries are do, who gives a fuck, seems our recent presidents spent more resources on other countries than our own, I for one would like to see that change

You don't help your cause when you make up absurd stuff like that.

It's more like some people didn't know Hawaii was a state and started a rumor that
Obama was not a citizen and then became too stupid to let it go and morphed the
issue into him being born in Kenya, faking his birth certificate etc...

I am not a famous CEO... I have heard of Uzbekistan and can tell you where it is on the map...

I agree that having a NON politician could be good for the US. What I don't like is that he seems to feel the need to align himself with the tea party and far right wing. He is doing this so he can get the republican nomination to be able to run against Obama. That makes me not really trust him. I'm guessing he is more of a moderate than he leads on.

In actuality, the 2 GOP candidates Huntsman and Paul, who are hated by the far right, are both brilliant people and would kick anyones ass if they ran TOGETHER as independent. It's what the majority of Americans are looking for, a President and VP that work both sides of the aisle effectively.

I certainly understand your point about hypocrites like nation-x....... but as a conservative I am also concerned about his seeming lack of interest (and demonstrated lack of knowledge) about global geopolitics. Certainly his hands on buisness experience would make him a big improvement over Obama on domestic policy...... but his lack of experience in global affairs is concerning.

It's a silly gaffe, yes, but absolutely it's what he said and I think it's a lot sillier than a misstatement Cain made when asked about China.
Obama thought hard for a few seconds before stating there are fifty-seven or fifty-eight states. We've all seen the video. We've watched him talk about "countries like Europe." Does that mean he's a dumbass? No, but it's certainly a lot sillier than Cain misspeaking regarding China's nuclear program. Can you speak off the cuff about China's nuclear program and make an intelligent case for specific policies? Probably not, but I bet you'd never say there are fifty-eight states. Both are gaffes, yes. It could happen to anyone. Cain's, in my opinion, is far less significant than any of Obama's many silly blunders.

Is that a quote from Cain? ^^

Here's a video where he says he supports the Second Amendment, but then in practically the same breath says that State and local governments should be allowed to pass gun laws:

Reminds me of his straight-shootin' answer on abortion:

I've heard of people flip-flopping between interviews. Never seen someone flip-flop multiple times during the same one.

I'm pro-life - Abortion is a woman's choice - It's not the government's choice - Abortion should not be legal :upsidedow

I disagree. I think Huntsman/Johnson would be a lot better... or Johnson/Huntsman.

Come on he ran Godfathers pizza for crying out loud, Papa John's pizza is better, and I bet the CEO of Papa John's is smarter get him to run!

crockett 11-02-2011 01:09 PM

His best chance of getting in the white house is with a free pizza party..

The GOP never manage to stop amazing me with the people they try to run for office. It's like they are trying to wear us down with morons til one of them finally slips through.

..na I don't think he's a total moron, he's probably a good business man but his lack of knowledge about the world is not acceptable for someone whom is to be a world leader, not to mention he has some pretty bad issues on his personal beliefs..

Typical right wing religious whack job.. wants govt out of everything to do with business but wants Taliban like control over personal life.

I would rather have a business man in office than a career politician

Herman Cain is not REALLY running for President. Sooner you guys figure that out, the better off you will be..

Johnson is basically non-existent. 50% + of Americans can't name ONE GOP candidate, and I bet you 99% (no pun) have no clue who Johnson is.

You had me up to " I for one would like to see that change " Hehehe,.

I actually agree. Maybe what this country needs right now is a Business man that plans to take care of business at home first and worry about others later.

Vendzilla 11-02-2011 02:15 PM

I don't know who to vote for at this point, too much in fighting, they are giving ammo to the dems, I'm sure they are taking note.
But Obama will run on his record and well, LMAO
