Google freshness algo update
How much do you guys think regularly updating content affects your non-blog pornsites' rankings, and have you recently seen your rankings drop like I have? (I don't update/add new content often.)
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/...nt-search.html So I'm thinking my recent ranking drops might be due to this freshness algo update. But common sense would tell that freshness of porn content would not be a big issue, especially if it is not many years old. Unlike with some search like "olympics". But I suspect they don't really care how pornsites rank, and their mainstream ranking algo updates will as a side product affect adult sites too. |
i have sites that update ever 30min daily weekly and when i can be bothered to update and i dont see a diffence

I have sites that I haven't updated in almost a year and after the panda update Google instantly one day started sending 2500+ uniques a day compared to the usual 200-500, and they kept sending more and more every day for 2 months. Then I got the bright idea to update the site thinking they'll send even more, guess what? The amount they send has started declining daily right after I updated it. :2 cents:
