How much traffic is your tube site burning? (Hosted videos)
100% hosted videos. Can anyone give me some rough estimates on what I'd be looking at with say 20k or 30k average users per day or maybe per 100k views etc.
I avoided TGP's and similar for my entire career so I've never pushed this much traffic around and looking for some estimates. Thanks in advance.:thumbsup |
do it big bruh

If you mean the videos on your site then It will depend on different factors but figure somewhere between 5-10 Mbps per 10k visitors. If you mean sponsor hosted it will be far less like a TGP so in the 1 Mbps per 10k visitor range.

signupdammit;s estimates are a bit low...
it can vary greatly, really depends on the quality of your encodes and the length of time. all of you allow hotlinking, embedding, etc. |

just send me an email i got you. :thumbsup |
It is a hard # to get exact. Reason being you have a certain # of users, but most of them probably wont spend a long period of time on a specific video, so doing typical bandwidth math wont work well. I also agree with Why as signups estimates are quit low. for 10k visitors a day you are probably looking more like 10-20Mbps a month I would think, possibly more. A

If the videos are hosted by sponsors you won't burn much.
Only the images and html codes. You can track the size of your site with things like firebug and multiply that with the amount of visitors you expect. |
