Mark Zuckerberg Discusses Online Privacy
Facebook isn't violating your privacy - Google, Yahoo and Microsoft are.
http://i.huffpost.com/gen/397271/thu...Y-large570.jpg That was the message from Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook CEO who has consistently faced criticism over his site's privacy practices, during an interview with Charlie Rose. Continues here... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/1...n_1080663.html |

When are people going to get a fucking clue. Nothing in this world is fucking free.
Any company providing you a "free" website or service is making money in some way off you. Whether it is emailing you offers, jamming ads in your face, cross/up sells, selling your information to third parties, installing god knows what on downloads, or data mining your habits for any countless number of uses both short and long term company gain. My personal favorite is the social network business model where you get people to think something is cool, and spread the word (i.e. free labor) to build up your traffic or site for them. People who honestly think they are getting something for "free" are complete fools. Nothing is free. However, few seem to be able to see the forest through the trees. Whether corporate America, or intelligent webmasters, they know information is power. :2 cents: |
If you don't like the way they run things, don't use their services. Simple as that :)

Google+ Chief Snaps Back At Zuckerberg's 'Little Facebook' Dig
The claws are coming out in Silicon Valley. In an interview with Charlie Rose, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg dismissed Google's social networking site Google+, launched in June of this year, as a copycat attempt to "build their own little version of Facebook" -- harsh words for a project that Google insiders have characterized as a bet-the-company effort. Google+'s vice president of product Bradley Horowitz blasted back at Zuckerberg's critique and warned that the Facebook CEO was underestimating Google. "We are delighted to be underestimated. It's served us very well to date. That's fine by us. I'm not going to clear anything up," Horowitz told Bloomberg's Emily Chang.
