So how well is .XXX protecting the kids so far?
More and more sites going live. Don't see warning pages on some of them, saw a tube on another. Looks like business as usual.
So much for protecting the kids. :1orglaugh |
all my kids are browsing .xxx porn sites so its working good
|
was never about protecting kids really
|
Works great for adults too, I haven't seen one .xxx site yet either :)

ok I have to just say it... I don't think I have seen a single person on this board say this, but .xxx is the one domain extension people (surfers) thought *already* existed, and guess what that means...... drumroll please..... typeins. Supposedly those good domains .xxx have type ins and the traffic is golden.
I don't have proof of this, but almost believe it. The proof is in the prices people paid for some of those domains, imo... |

You can look up the search volume on wordtracker. .sex and .porn get more type-in's than .xxx |
Save the children.
|
no no no it's about all the super .xxx traffic remember??

So far I've seen no .xxx sites with those special metatags Lawley claimed would be used to protect the children.
|
What I don't believe is domainers who were cut out of making $$$ on these domains, who bash them. :)
good luck selling those adult dot coms! lol But yeah I don't know about this protecting children shit. No doubt a bunch of hype, and I doubt anyone supporting (buying) these domains are doing it to protect kids. lol |
.xxx are working great as its such a crappy thing, no one types it in. people tend to only type .com
please do not put people off buying them as they are so costly, that all the twits will spend a fortune and then run out of cash, and that will leave only decent webasters on the net. i think .xxx are a great way to size out the rubish. |
by the way, surly if the .xxx do not protect children, surly the product is being sold in a fradalent way.
after all i could not sell you a car and claim it had air conditioning if it had not. remeber it clearly states on its site that .xxx will stop under 18's going on the sites as well as protect you from nasty computer virases. after all thats why your being asked to pay far more as with a .xxx your ALSO paying for a service that scans your site each day. |
Still protecting them better than Penn State's football program.
Oooooohhhhhhhh........too soon? |
I've been protecting just fine with RTA labels. Parents have to do their part though. I am not responsible for their kids.
|
can someone tell me how porn hurts kids? usually its male boys viewing porn. and, the ones complaining the most about it are women who hate porn and anything and everything sexual
|
If you want to protect kids, make a .kids TLD and only allow kid-safe shit on it. But people will still find something about that to bitch about.
