Where to buy diamond jewelery in NYC?
 

I want to pick up some diamond earrings for my girlfriend when I'm in NYC next week. Something in the 1ct range. Does anybody have any good recommendations? I don't want to spend a fortune but I don't want garbage either.

The Diamond District in Midtown, West 47th street between 5th & 6th Avenue

Stay away from Chinatown, Canal Street, they will sell you cheap gold with a 14kt lock, they tell you its all 14kt. Not sure about their diamonds.

I usually go to Macy's, and if you don't have a Macy's card, if you apply there they knock off 10-15% off your 1st sale. Then just cut the card in half.

If you want to impress her Tiffany's is the way to go even if you go with a smaller diamond.
