WP Gallery Post Plugin

I am looking for a plugin that I can use to make a blogpost and have it look like a gallery within the post with thumbnails etc. Anyone know what exactly is best to use? Fris, any thoughts here? :) Thanks for the help guys!

Is this thread # 24453? ;)

You can use the built in gallery feature in Wordpress or something like UUGallery.

Is there a free plugin for this? For us broke folk?

"You can use the built in gallery feature in Wordpress" which is obviously free.

Alternatively using this awesome new resource called "Google" I was able to find the following:
https://www.google.com/#sclient=psy-...llery+plugi n

Which dug up:
http://www.dynamicwp.net/articles-an...llery-plugins/
http://visionwidget.com/inspiration/...y-plugins.html
http://www.robogalleryplugin.com/

..and much more! :winkwink:

I realize you are likely looking for feedback on plugins people have actually used, thus my original response. They are the only two I have ever used.

If you want to generate WP posts with thumbnail galleries automatically (say from FHG RSS feeds e.g. something like this), use CyberSEO plugin.

NextGEN works well.

Wordpress has its own gallery structure within wordpress. No need for a plugin.

Sure thing in case if you are posting these galleries manually, but how about FHG RSS feeds? :pimp

Agree with this.
At first it may not seem all that great, but you can really hack up the CSS and get it doing marvellous things.

Has that been updated recently? I updated my Wordpress installs, and my copies of UUGallery stopped working. This has been going on for years... I'm tired of manually updating UUGallery, so I kicked it to the curb.

You pay for something, you think it would have an auto-update function built in.

built in gallery works fine, however, if you are looking for a little more control you can also try this.

wordpress-image-attachment-gallery-revisited

Just a little hack that lets you call each image that is attached to the post individually. That way you can put img img img banner img img img banner ect...

:2 cents:
hope this helps

My main objective is to basically provide a gallery link or feed and use a plugin that spits out pictures in posts in a gallery format for each blog update. I am looking for something free for this. What would be the best plugin for this type of effect?

I can tell you one thing for sure: there is no free solution for that. However there is a commercial CyberSEO plugin which can do what you need (the example) and many-many more including WordPress tubes and other auto populating resources (including the magazine-style ones).

:pimp

But this guy wants something so he wont have to do any work, still make money ... AND not have to pay for it. Geez! ;)

UUgallery is pretty good

File-gallery is decent and free, you can make galleries with it, have external urls (sponsor links for when users click pics) and loads more, used it for sometime now works great.
