What the fuck is this song?
I hear it periodically on my local rock station. I'm pretty confident it's fairly new, and from a relatively new band. I just ran through 2 days worth of that station's playlist and can't figure it out.
I don't know much of the lyrics...tried googling what I know without any luck. The song has kind of a chilling feel to it... Chorus says something like "Brace yourself (break yourself? waste yourself?); something something something." And after the chorus it goes into a "whoa oh....oh oh oh oh." Only other thing I can add is toward the end of the song, it sounds like someone is listing off the names of kids and their ages. I'm thinking they were assaulted and killed, cuz I thought I heard "Adam Walsh" in there. I need to know what this fucking song is! |

Um. No.
But thanks for trying....I think. |
I see the problem:

Anyone remember a song in the charts in 2000.
All I remember is the video clip, this guy sitting on a psychiatrist chair frothing at the mouth saying "BITCHES". some turtles I think... and the lyrics "That's what life is about". maybe something about trombones.. I'm a bit rusty on that bit though! |

So why is it someone posted a thread a few weeks ago, only knowing it was a song from the 60's and had "hmm mmm mm," and he got legitimate assistance and eventually figured out what the song was.
Meanwhile, I get a bunch of smartasses posting every fucking song known to man that has a "whoa" in it (you're missing a shitload of Misfits songs featuring "Whoa oh," btw :winkwink:). I know it wasn't a lot to go on, but I thought someone might have an idea of a current rock song with a dark mood to it that meets the description. Not Milli Vanilli. Really? Milli fucking Vanilli? Come on.... :error :1orglaugh |

Is it a guy singing it, a girl or a group? Remember any other words? The only chill rock song that I know that has brace yourself and whoa oh in the lyrics is Chris Caffery - Back's to the Wall, but it's not new and doesn't lists names of dead people in the end, so I guess that's not it. |

Shotsie figured it out, it was Rise Against - "Make It Stop (September's Children)," which after reading all the lyrics is an even more powerful song that I originally thought. |
