No,it's not pasteurized

ManPuppy 11-23-2011 05:20 PM

As a matter of fact, I have. It's like a completely different beverage. I have also killed a chicken and visited a slaughterhouse. I have no intention of doing any of these things ever again in my life, but I feel richer for the experience.

nikki99 11-23-2011 05:25 PM

Donny Long used to get Fresh Milk from his Dad

kane 11-23-2011 05:29 PM

When I was a little kid the babysitter I went to had a farm. They would milk the cow then run the milk through a coffee filter and drink it. It was so long ago I don't remember what it tasted like, but that was the only milk they ever got for the family.

Chosen 11-23-2011 05:44 PM

Yes :pimp

garce 11-23-2011 08:07 PM

No, but I've sucked the milk out of my wife's breasts during her pregnacies... She was in pain, and the kid wouldn't be providing any relief for a few months. Her tits were so lumpy and deformed that they looked like bad plastic surgery.

But they tasted like honey.

Its been 27 years and I'm still sucking on them.

As a child, thought that was the funniest, to see the chicken run, after my grandfather cut it's head off. Don't know if I could watch it now, but either you eat meat or you're a Vegan.
I vote meat. Just don't make me watch.

AnalProbe 11-23-2011 09:05 PM

Forget cow milk, get goat milk...

What do people do for fun or to pass the time in Ontario?

Barry-xlovecam 11-24-2011 12:08 AM

Yes

89°C (191°F) 1.0 second Ultra Pasteurization (UP)

First you clean the debris that float to the top -- I worked in a dairy for a short time.

Dcat 11-24-2011 12:10 AM

I'd give my left nut to be able to purchase raw unpasteurized milk where I live.

Mr Pheer 11-24-2011 12:41 AM

I had an uncle that owned a small ranch in Texas. He always had bottles of raw milk, ice cold in his fridge. He made his own butter. He even had several beehives and always had fresh honey.

Chickens do not run around after its head is cut off.
Think about it.

Hah, you've obviously never seen it done.

Antonio 11-24-2011 01:25 AM

My grandfather used to give us fresh ewe's milk when we were kids. Back then it wasn't considered a health hazard.

Have seen hundreds, have chopped many off myself and what they do is not running. Running requires being upright on their 2 legs.

Actually, they don't run - I've seen my grandperents kill hundreds of them and they flop / jump in a very weird way, never seen one running.

Ok Mr Technical. Yeah they flop around all over the place. Hence the term, "Running around like a chicken with it's head cut off" pretty much means just bouncing around at random.

Mr Pheer 11-24-2011 01:29 AM

You guys take shit a little bit too seriously. Remember how the turkey died when you're eating it tomorrow :)

goodnight

I was a sales rep for a while and one of our largest clients was a slaughterhouse. The owner was a hands on kind of guy, and I had to go onto the slaughterhouse floor to wait for him. I wasn't allowed to actually walk very far into the operation, but saw enough that it freaked me the hell out and made my stomach turn. Man, I remember the first time there clear as day, and I don't think I'll ever forget it. It just seemed, wrong.

I also visited other farmers and watched them slaughter animals during my time with this company. The men who did this without a full blown operation seemed to have much more respect for the animals they killed. They were treated well through life and quickly killed.
