What's your average CTR these days on your sites / ads you use?
As much as I know - CTR on a Tube clips in a content partner program to paysite usually sucks, on the other hand for example a good blog post with the right content preview on a blog that gets lots of targeted SE traffic to paysite gets a very decent CTR.
But what's the CTR (clicks vs/ impressions) you're able to get on what you run (for example different placements for static banners , video banners, textlinks to galleries on text tgp, thumbs on a tgp, blogpost to gallery, galleries to paysite etc.) What's your average or your desired optimal CTR for those types of ads you use on your sites these days? |
It's depend on type of ad,best way to generate more CTR is having a tons of text links in standard banner size box.Even if all text links will lead to same url,it's still better then just having classic banner.

we get up to 5% ctr on next to videos ads

Text links have always ruled the day, I think the only reason sponsors make banners is to appease the peanut gallery affiliates that send 10 clicks per year.

Depends on the marketing medium

Depends on a lot of things, I can be happy with a .05% CTR in one case and not settle for anything below 1% in another. How well it converts, the pay for a sale, the idea you're planting in the surfers head before they're about to hit your landing page, etc is more important to look at. Rather have something doing a low CTR and low amount of clicks converting really well than something generating a high CTR high amount of clicks and no conversions.
