I have been reviewing domains that were available all month, now today they are no longer available. How can the adult community or domainers trust the fucked up system they have in place. What makes anyone think their domains will be safe even after obtained by ICM since they make rules that change with the weather. It clearly states on all your registers websites: Landrush

So why the fuck would a domain that was available on November 23rd not be available today, or until November 25, 2011 16:00 UTC

Oh wait I see what they did, they figured well will just auction off all the decent domains that no one picked up yet at the extortion price, so now they will pay through the nose at the super auctioned extortion prices.

Many of you should fight to have your .com domains excluded from .xxx register, since you already have a poor man's trademark in place. Once you have been using the domain names already in commerce. Although they are not trademarked, you still have rights, consult with your lawyers. Tell them you will give them 100% of the $$$ of the lawsuit and you just want your domains, if they will take the case at no charge.

The Adult community needs a Union or representation in congress to fight for our rights..

After the scandals at snapnames and godaddy's auctions (ie, halvarez and at TDNAM the person in charge bidding against customers) you'd be crazy to point out to anyone be they a registrar or icm what names you want and risk it going into a blind "pre-order" auction.

Let me share with you a little secret - the names you pre-order will goto into an auction.

their focus is on shaking down mainstream companies, not adult. not right now anyway, as their focus also appears to be using the gov to move porn onto those domains and take over all the billing for adult as well.

Anyone else noticing these things? If you guys tell me your not purchasing any .xxx domains or even searched the database for domains your all lying. The same way you all have your down low Tube websites for traffic and still complain about Tube websites.

Not lying, didn't search for anything it would cause ICM to attach a value to the domains that were searched.

I don't even want any .xxx and if you do I would recommend waiting until general registry is open so you actually have a chance of getting the domain at reg fee.

I don't make my living from selling domains or promoting adult (side biz) but if I did like many on here I would at least be curious whats up.

It is a big possibility that .xxx will be worthless, like .us, .me, .info, .mobi, etc. But obtaining a good one word domain and the possibility .xxx becomes the standard is enticing.

Did you READ the POST? Why were domains available then no longer available during the landrush period range of days. The domains should have stayed available to the end since you can no longer reserve them.

Yes, and I still don't have enough information to attempt a clear response. What domains? Where did you look? When did you check, then re-check? It sounds like it could be an issue with the registrar you were using, but I would prefer to give you a more direct answer.

I'm not sure what the previous issue was for you with godaddy during Landrush. If the domain that you were interested in was available at the beginning, it would have been, and should have shown as available through the end of that period. No names were taken out of the available pool during Landrush.

Since Landrush closed on November 25th, all names applied for have been marked as unavailable.

Currently, godaddy is showing your name as unavailable, (they might have taken a pre-order for it) but buy.xxx, and our whois both show it as available, so I checked with some of our other Registrars and Domain Monster shows it as still available. You could very easily pre-order with them, and if they are faster on December 6th, you would win the name (and they have a no-win no-fee guarantee so there's no risk).
