Yea, but they don't start them up til February.

Jim_Gunn 11-27-2011 11:28 PM

Great episode! They called this the mid-season break in the "Talking Dead" after-show promo.

Darkhorse 11-27-2011 11:41 PM

It had better pick up, this season has been pretty dead so far lol.

shade001 11-28-2011 12:04 AM

It's been dead.........yeah, if you want a shoot 'em up B movie with zombies.

If you want a show that actually has depth and a plot, you're in the right place.

I agree. I can get into a shoot 'em up zombie story from time to time, but this season has been slowly building to something and it happened tonight. It delivered on all fronts.

I don't get it. They're dead but you can re-kill them with a shotgun blast?
Are they still able to walk dead?
Reminds me of Michael Jackson's Thriller video.

CaptainHowdy 11-28-2011 06:13 AM

I'm just glad it ended (for now) ...

femdomdestiny 11-28-2011 06:22 AM

that's why I wait series to be finished, and then watch them

bronco67 11-28-2011 06:39 AM

That was season-long misdirection they did with Sofia. I had really pushed the search for that girl out out my thoughts.

Yes, but that means that the season isn't over. Which means that last night's episode wasn't the season finale. Which means that it didn't end. :winkwink:

Rochard 11-28-2011 07:58 AM

I just read an article about last night's show saying it was in fact dead. Too much talking going on at this point...

seeandsee 11-28-2011 08:18 AM

lets check it out, i dont think it will be too much great....

EDIT, just for people one comment i found:
sad-sam at 2011-11-28 10:58 CET:
on a more serious note, skip everything but the last five minutes to avoid more mundane crap.

)))))

Solace 11-28-2011 08:49 AM

xx_justjay_xx 11-28-2011 08:51 AM

That, to me, was the most key part of the episode. The guy who owned the farm and kept the walkers in that barn let Rick and crew go out repeatedly, risking their lives, looking for that girl knowing she was already dead.

Letting the mother hope her daughter was alive when she wasn't.

I've actually been getting into Hell on Wheels more then WD, but you got to admit Boardwalk Empire ending this week was well, good and surprising.

I agree with you. Boardwalk has been absolutely great, though.

Actually, Kirkman revealed(on Talking Dead) that there's backstory(that we haven't seen yet) as to how she got into the barn -- and it was Otis. Remember, Herschel told Rick that capturing zombies was Otis' job, so he probably found her and put her in the barn. They never had a chance to tell Otis they were looking for a little girl, because of the frantic situation with Carl getting shot.

Once Otis died, the knowledge of Sofia in barn died with him.

By the way, Herschel is so fucking stupid, I was hoping for him to get eaten -- which I think is what happened in the comic.

Come on, one more slow episode, with expected ending...

Then why would you click on a thread titled "Walking Dead ended with a BANG"? :error

The mid-season finale delivered. I thought it was getting a little slow, but last night more than made up for it.

I think I'm going to start reading the comic books to get me through until February.

The pay off in last nights episode would not have had the impact it did without all the emotional drama/character development leading up to it.

Battlestar Gallactica was same way... there might not be "action" for a few episodes but there was always better resonance when it did happen because there was actual character depth to create multiple layers of moral, ethical dilemma.

Good show.

anexsia 11-28-2011 01:11 PM

I must admit that I didn't really care much for this season but the semi-finale last night was pretty good. I'm more interested in Boardwalk Empire though, I'm burnt out on the zombie craze.

bronco67 11-28-2011 01:22 PM

Even though there wasn't much action this season so far, it was good to see the characters get a chance to have some normalcy and kick back a little in the safety of the farm. If it was just balls to the wall zombie killing in every episode, it would get old quick.

Also, is that the only isolated farm in the entire state of Georgia? Can't they go find their own fucking farm and let Herschel love his stupid barn zombies?

Solace 11-28-2011 01:23 PM

Your title is spoiler enough for me, I'll pass
