I use Avast on my main workstation, and Windows Security Essentials(free) on my 6 render systems. I'll probably dump Avast once my license runs out and just use Essentials.

AnalProbe 11-28-2011 06:38 AM

free - Avira
paid - Avira

Detection rate of AVG and Kaspersky is <95 %

Avira 99.3% (highest)

Don't fall for G-Data... detection of 99.9, but they use 3 engines, of which one is Avira, which picks only the real threats, not the bogus ones.

For anti virus Avira

For malware Malwarebytes

The two together have never failed me.

I've got viruses installed to my flash from computers protected with Avira.
Avast catched them right away.
