I've been wanting to build one of these, but I haven't had the time or access to a cheap enough 67 fastback that's in rough condition but doesn't need a complete frame-off restore. I don't want to mutilate a clean Mustang but I also don't want to have 800 hours in removing rust and other restoration.

Aston Martin DBS. I'd take any Aston Martin given the chance, but the DBS is stunning. I've drove a Vantage before, easily the best car I have driven in my life, way better than a Gallardo or F430, I drove them the same day but they couldn't compete with the AM

That's a pretty quick car, I think it may have even won an all out shootout against the other super cars.

I was at a muscle car show last weekend and saw one of these and someone had replaced the Ferrari engine
with a small block chevy and added some tires that stuck out past the fenders. Left original it would've been
worth several hundred thousand dollars and now its worth several hundred dollars :Oh crap

The thing about a Ferrari that gets me is the attention whore aspect of it. Also you can pull up to some pretty girls and tell one of them "Get in!" and they will.

a 308 is only cheap until you have to bring it to the service and have the timing belt replaced, the valves adjusted, the carburator... etc.

I took some video as it drove past me and unfortunately I didn't see it parked
so i couldn't find out its history.

I know of the replicas and kit cars but I've also heard
of old Ferraris with blown engines that were replaced with easy to work on, inexpensive small block motors.
Stuff like that drives the Ferrari community crazy as another Ferrari is butchered or cannibalized.

My gut feeling is this was a real Daytona that went sour and someone threw some american parts
on it to get it running but like I said the only way to know for sure was to inspect it.
