Paxum lost checks?

Anyone wait over 3 weeks and then hit up Paxum support about it and have them tell you its most likely lost? Well thats what I did this morning. They responded saying they want me to pay a $40 stop check fee to put the money back into my account. I already paid the $5 check fee, so overall they want me to pay $45 to just get the money back into my account. How do I know if they ever even printed the check, seems like an easy way to double their yearly fee... and of course I still will have to pay more fees to get my money all over again.

This will certainly be the last check I get sent from Paxum and I will most likely be moving the few programs I have pay me through them away from Paxum and back to check.

arock10 11-30-2011 08:11 AM

Are they any good?

Will be doing a bit of blogging and see them as an option. Don't want any bother as I'm not in it to make money as an affiliate.

Hi there, I'm sorry your check got lost in the mail. Unfortunately this can sometimes happen when using the postal service.

At Paxum it is standard procedure, when a check appears to be missing in the mail for a prolongued period of time, that we advise the check be cancelled and reissued.

Unfortunately there is a fee to stop a check no matter which bank you use, and therefore in order to cancel the issued check we must charge that fee to you.

We do offer the convenience of withdrawal via the Paxum Mastercard if you prefer to use that for your withdrawals. Since funds are instantly transferred and immediately available, it's a convenient choice for accessing your funds quickly.

Paxum is a legitimate business, registered with FINTRAC as a Money Services Business, and we follow the letter of the law in all our business dealings.

arock - I just got through speaking with support regarding your account. Please check your email for a response to your ticket. Your check has already been reissued and it should be arriving to you any day now. We received the check returned to us and therefore it was reissued several days ago without any check-cancellation fees charged. Please make sure to check your email for updates. Thanks

crash_jackson 11-30-2011 09:04 AM

lol... why don't you take a card??

Rebel D 11-30-2011 09:32 AM

arock it would have cost less to have them express post the check then pay the cancel fee

correct but the checks usually don't get lost... it turns out the check was returned and reissued on nov 24th because a printing error on the address. So they didn't even mention this when I made the ticket yesterday about it still missing. If it doesn't show up in a few days they said they'd wire it for free. Which is good enough for me, though next time it'd be nice to be informed if the check was reissued/returned.

Lace 11-30-2011 11:31 AM

Lol. C'mon Arock...Why would you even waste your time with Paxum?

IllTestYourGirls 11-30-2011 12:30 PM

Yup, mine got lost too. But they are paying my fees. They must hate you :321GFY :1orglaugh

Hello,

The funds that you recently requested to have withdrawn from your Paxum
account have been returned. Due to a printing problem at the processor, the
address that it was mailed to was incorrect, and the envelope was returned.
We have therefore refunded your full amount, including the check withdrawal
fee. Furthermore, it will be our pleasure to refund your next withdrawal,
be it by any method we offer. If you need access to your funds immediately,
wire withdrawals are the fastest. Simply advise us when the transaction has
been completed and we will expedite your payment and refund your fee.

The check issue has since been resolved and measures are taken to ensure
that this mishap does not occur at a later time. You may request a new
check and it will be sent out correctly in a timely manner.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,
The Paxum team.
Edit missed the part where you said they were wiring it for free.

SOP for banks. I highly doubt any of that money goes to Paxum.

No i didn't, i don't need CC and i tried to wire to my verified bank account but somehow that didn't work, but that seemed to be my mistake though.
Paxum offers checks as service, so what point am i missing?

If checks are sent as service by Paxum.. what service am i missing? i am using exactly that service of payment by check.. lol..

I use Paxum to be paid by sponsors, i could not sent money to my verified bank account for some reason.. that's why i had funds sent as check.. whats so weird about that? :)

Anyway, today the check arrived, after exactly 1 month.. :thumbsup

arock10 12-01-2011 07:39 AM

The point of Paxum is to get paid by non US companies that don't offer check. Otherwise I'd just get a check from the company
