This looks like a good deal because it's free for one or two months. The question is: is there an obligation to buy after the free period is over?

TubeSubmitters 12-01-2011 11:21 AM

Why did you change the name to critical?

critical 12-01-2011 11:31 AM

"This looks like a good deal because it's free for one or two months. The question is: is there an obligation to buy after the free period is over?"

- Well you cant just sign up for two free months then split... that would be downright rude... LOL You would have to commit to 6 months and obviously that comes with our customer satisfaction guarantee.

:-)

"Why did you change the name to critical...."
-We did not change anything. Critical.net is Critical.net... always was, always will be.

TubeSubmitters 12-01-2011 11:33 AM

Ah I thought you changed splitinfinity to critical

HomerSimpson 12-01-2011 02:08 PM

is there any fine print for this offer?
6/12 months contract?
1st month paid before getting box?

critical 12-01-2011 02:39 PM

You must provide VALID government identification.
Commit to 6 months minimum and thereafter its month to month.
No real hard terms. No Credit Checks required but you must be
verified to be a human who is real. :-)

OH, and NO initial payment due! RIGHT. <--- YES YOU HEARD ME RIGHT.

Interesting, reuse the domain for something completely unrelated after you rebrand... :thumbsup

Trouble is, I'm having trouble remembering what they rebranded to. I had to think for a bit. Was it suavemente?

critical 12-01-2011 02:59 PM

Long story.. Split died off... was pure adult hosting...
Messy Divorce etc.... it was shut down.
Afterward I started Suavemente. So no, its not a "rebrand", its an entirely
new company.

rowan 12-01-2011 05:29 PM

Ok, I'm really confused now. I didn't know you had anything to do with splitinfinity.

split = suavemente = critical?

critical 12-01-2011 05:32 PM

Well yes, I was the creator of them all. :-)
Im now the CEO of Critical Data Network however.
The others are their own deals.

DarkJedi 12-01-2011 05:38 PM

Could you tell more about your setup?

facility/support personnel/providers/etc

To tell the truth, i am a really put off because of that retard stickifingerz affiliation with you (splitinfinity)

chaze 12-01-2011 05:55 PM

Wow good deal man, best of luck with your promo!

critical 12-01-2011 06:14 PM

Ahhh, good ole Sticky... .he is not affiliated with us at all.
Thats like a long time ago, I barely remember him.

Regarding facilities:

We own our own data-center, provide multi-homed bandwidth on Level3, Time Warner Telecom.

We have a 650KVa Generator, Liebert UPS system, Liebert Air Conditioning.

Take a peek here:
http://www.cdn-advisor.com/level-3-t...-data-network/

Note: in the press release they say they provide colocation to us... they do not...
Well "technically" they do... but its not for servers.... We are co-located in their leased transport cages in all their data centers across the usa.

However for colocation, we have our own facilities.
Come take a tour?

critical 12-01-2011 06:16 PM

I should also mention we monitor everything 24/7 with whatsup/solar winds etc....

We are a Cisco House... all routers and switches and optics are Cisco.

Time Warner I didn't know they did colo networks, I hate that company. I would seriously throw something else in the blend just to avoid being affiliated with their horrible rep. Even XO or Verio might be around the same price but at least with a better reputation. Just saying, no offense.

Solace 12-02-2011 12:33 PM

No no.... TWTelecom is DIFFERENT thatn Time Warner Communications.
Totally different companies.

:-) I agree the TW you are referring to does suck.

Brujah 12-02-2011 12:55 PM

Didn't you used to own SIN.net too? Critical.net is an awesome domain.

fris 12-02-2011 03:06 PM

do you actuall own the WHOLE data center? or just have cabinet space in a data center shared with other telecoms?

Yanto 12-02-2011 04:10 PM

Great stuff!

JustJ 12-02-2011 07:15 PM

Bump for a Good Deal!

jollyhumper 12-02-2011 07:26 PM

Owning it would be a mis-use of the term... They lease Suite C in the building which is 3,673 SQFT RSF. Level(3) and other communications providers also lease space in the building.

Was the name change to Critical part of the fallout from your ROKSO listing for Chris Jester/Suavamente? You are "retired' now according to ROKSO... but who ever quits?

TubeSubmitters 12-03-2011 02:06 PM

Lol WE OWN OUR OWN DATACENTER!!! ;) liar

Just like I don't "OWN" the 21,000sqft of datacenter space we operate. Although we are going to be purchasing our own building in 2012, we're not 'owners' yet :)
