Breaking News: Manwin Permanently Bans All Business With .XXX TLD

December 2, 2011 — LUXEMBOURG — In addition to the lawsuit filed on November 16, 2011, Manwin has determined to cease any and all Internet liaisons with the .XXX Top Level Domain.

As of today, Manwin has banned all activities between its brands and internet sites registered with a .XXX TLD.

Heh, when I was on the mobile seminar at XBiz London, a program owner that supports .XXX and has their sites registered said they would never promote anything of theirs on the tubes, specifically Manwin tubes.

This whole thing will get interesting.

Robbie 12-02-2011 03:44 PM

Hmmm...does that mean that you don't have to worry about your content being stolen if you have a .xxx domain?

signupdamnit 12-02-2011 03:45 PM

I have to give Fabian and Manwin credit for doing this. It's good to see some people taking a stand instead of just rolling over.

It's ironic though because this is exactly what we all should have done to fight the tubes which steal content.

Failed 12-02-2011 03:46 PM

If there was any doubt about whether or not to register a .xxx, there is none now.

Yep, and just imagine...if we had all been able to "take a stand" a couple of years back, "Manwin" would still be a tiny company that nobody cared about because they wouldn't have been able to steal everybodies content and post it up for free while they made millions off of their dating and cam ads on pornhub.

bean-aid 12-02-2011 03:50 PM

This is likely going to be a long one

I just edited that and added something like this. I completely agree. But as I recall Brazzers/Mansef and many of the other early tube players tried to keep it all a secret back in 2007 when it started. So there was little risk to their core companies as long as they kept it secret. I actually suspect there are still major players who have their own secret tubes.

BIGTYMER 12-02-2011 03:54 PM

Am I growing a heart? I'm starting to like Manwin.

DarkJedi 12-02-2011 03:54 PM

Can we speculate that at least 20% of porn carry Manwin brand ads?
Maybe some other big players should step in and take the same position!

DotXXX 12-02-2011 04:42 PM

Really?

Apparently Manwin is confused about whether it wants to bring antitrust claims or commit antitrust violations.

We find it ironic that a company that's accusing us of anti-competitive tactics is taking such an anti-competitive action that could cause potential financial harm to the same webmasters they claim they're trying to help.

$100 or more for basic registration when the going rate is $10?

Reserving a bunch of good and mediocre domains and then charging $80,000 for them?

Lying through your teeth to ICANN and making shady backroom deals to get approval?

Seriously, fuck you guys.

When you take someones name, reserve it as a premium domain just to extort more money out of them, then that's a scam.

See you in court when you decide to release that name to anyone else.

porno jew 12-02-2011 04:49 PM

looks like a xxx domain might destroy your business. good time to claim my credit card was stolen and chargeback those xxx domains i bought.

Caligari 12-02-2011 04:56 PM

Damn I thought I just heard a 747 crashing outside...

Oh wait, it's just the sound of .XXX domain values plummeting;)

Apples to oranges. Next you will be saying that anyone who doesnt buy a .xxx is committing antitrust laws. You might want to get a better lawyer before you accuse someone of felony offenses on a public board.

It is their right to do business with whomever they see fit.

Perhaps they feel those that support XXX lack good judgment and in the future be in a position to not pay manwin, etc.

And you still dare to come here and post?
How much do you charge for a domain registration???

Fucking thieves, scammers....

AdultKing 12-02-2011 05:08 PM

.xxx does run the risk, being marginalized by the likes of Manwin, of becoming a ghetto TLD which just becomes a haven for illegal pornography, scammers and other bad shit.
