Will your registrar offer .xxx and will you stop using them because of it?
 

Let us cut to the chase here.

Since people are beginning to boycott services and business dealings with .xxx owners, do you have urls registered with GoDaddy or DirectNIC to name a few? Are you going to move all your domains somewhere else to not have associations with those dealing in .xxx?

The list of registrars offering this tld .xxx is very long. I will not post it here nor do i want to link or promote the site it can be found.

Mine already have .xxx as a larger font at the top of the list.

I'm using them for their service, not what they choose to sell.

lets cut even closer to the chase.

Google lists .xxx and advertises for .xxx , will anyone delist their site from google because they work closely with .xxx both as an advertiser and traffic medium ?

yes i moved all my domains to a dubai based registrar because xxx is already blocked there.

We have accounts with two registrars. If either of them refuses to participate in this plan to force adult to the .xxx ghetto, we'll stiller them by renewing domains with them.

If I only had a few and was still 99% adult maybe, currently 99% mainstream and too many to move so no.

I think in any situation like this you boycott who you can. It's impossible to boycott everything and everyone. In theory, you would have to stop using the internet if you tried to do it that way.

If .xxx would cost the same as my .com then maybe I would buy it.
But the .xxx cost way more than the actual value of some of my .com

So it's feels like a "racket" to get me to pay that.

Will you get rid of traffic trades with sites that trade with .xxx sites? How serious are you and how far will you go with it?

A handful of webmasters/sites boycotting a TLD isn't going to change anything.

I was going to say I wouldn't do any new business with them.... Then I noticed I sell .xxx! So I put a stop to that and now I am back to doing business with myself.

I won't stop using my registrar because of that.

the reason I made this thread is because I was told on gfy that if I make ads for companies starting up .xxx sites i am a backstabbing traitor to the industry and I am supposed to cut all deals with clients who buy a .xxx and tell current clients if they buy one i can no longer do work for them.

i have been contacted by a few clients regarding their new .xxx sites, so I want to know how far people are willing to go.

The reality is that everyone will have an indirect connection with .XXX, this is impossible to avoid i.e. having domains on a registrar who starts selling .XXX.

But if you have a chance to avoid a direct connection, then you have to make a decision.

I certainly wouldn't cut off a CLIENT who had .xxx domains. There might be a chance we'd say we won't work on their .xxx sites. That is, if we did anything it would be "we'll set up Throttlebox and Strongbox on your .com sites, but not on your .xxx sites."

People will be over this by next year. Watch. lol

Pretty sure my 2 registrars are not going to be offering .xxx so no need to worry here.

If I still had domains at name.com or any other registrar that will be selling .xxx, I would move them and send them a letter/email telling them why.
