Should GFY take a stand against .xxx?

blacklist ".xxx" will show up as hahahaha, ban any and all ICM reps, etc.

AdultEUhost 12-05-2011 02:36 PM

i wouldn't go that far, i still care about free speech

GFED 12-05-2011 02:39 PM

there used to be banned words on here... i forget what they were.

femdomdestiny 12-05-2011 02:40 PM

they can still speak at other places, just not here. If so,that's should be put on vote, and if most of us vote for that, it's democracy.

Why do you keep dragging hahahaha into this? He's been in the biz for a while and I personally think he is a stand up, top notch guy.

Ask Dirty F, he will vouch for hahahaha.

If GFY do, combined with Manwin, a lot more will follow. Considering that endgame of the .XXX crew is to eventually get all of us banned from non-.XXX's. We need to follow Manwin with a preemptive strike :2 cents:

georgeyw 12-05-2011 05:35 PM

Personally, I do not think it is a good idea to ban all reps and words associated with .xxx.

It would be a bit like closing your eyes and expecting the rest of the world to stop because you can not see what is going on.

As I stated elsewhere -

We have neither intention, nor desire for .XXX to become a requirement in ANY country and will not be making any effort whatsoever to make that happen. The reverse in fact, is true as we are committed to oppose any attempts made by other parties to make .XXX a requirement..

Oh ,great. Now I feel better. Why didn't you say so in the begining....just something like: We (xxx supporters) just want to help poor adult webmasters, and we are doing this for their good. Everything would be fine then.

There is a very long post 'elsewhere' with a lot of information. The truth is, we really are interested in your success.

No. It's an excerpt from a post I wrote elsewhere.

FetishWeb 12-05-2011 07:18 PM

As they say, they don't want it to be mandatory. But if it somehow did become mandatory it would just happen to increase their earnings 1000 fold.

Surely they have publically announced that they will fight against any such requirements tooth and nail?

Are you maybe looking for gay sites access? I will buy you some, just go away and don't bother honest people with your bullshit. I don't care if there is anything written already, because I am not reading your shitty subjects.

That was one of the concerns people expressed from the very beginning. How hard would ICM really fight laws that could benefit them...?

This is great news! Since this is really true would you be willing to sign a binding contract with the community agreeing to immediately lower your prices to no more than $20 wholesale per domain (or cost +10% profit, whichever is higher) within 30 days of any US law being passed which would require porn sites to use .xxx?

Even at $20 you would still become very rich if it were made mandatory so I don't see why you wouldn't agree.

It has already been proven many times that Stuart Lawley is a greedy self-serving prick liar. He is not a man with character so what he says today has jackshit to do with what he'll do tomorrow.

Really? That's weird. I thought GFY's policy was accept all ad dollars from any old shitbag until too many surfers pretend they are going to quit this joint.

porno jew 12-05-2011 07:52 PM

taking a stand against traffic junky stopped the tubes in their tracks.

SmutHammer 12-05-2011 08:44 PM

If .xxx wants the support of the webmasters and producers, why not add a few things to their tos

1. No user uploads allowed on any .xxx site

2. all content used on .xxx is at anytime subject to model releases/2257 forms

3. no torrents or any pirating software

maybe if they take a stand to help us, they'll gain our support....

I apologize that there are some things on your list that I can't speak to, but one very specific thing that I can say is, that we are currently shopping, and carefully scrutinizing piracy protection programs to determine which will be the most effective to deploy across .XXX, much like we did with McAfee.

sounds great. :thumbsup

SmutHammer 12-05-2011 09:13 PM

user upload is the most used thing/excuss for piracy right?

hopefully protect ip goes through, but maybe eliminating user uploading is another way to make the domain owner responsible for thier own websites...

Chosen 12-05-2011 09:15 PM

Speaking of banned words: try to post "tub_girl" (together without underline) :pimp

I'd say the not so obvious risk here is if made mandatory, IFFOR is in a position to force you to use the .xxx "microbilling system" to process transactions on your site.

Don't want to use them? IFFOR makes rules so your .xxx site stops resolving to "protect consumers".
