serious; i was pretty baffled just a few minutes ago when i visited the "auto corrected" thread (still giggling) ... on the linked page, way at the bottom, is a google ads field ... and guess what? there was an ad to a shop related to one of the searches i did just a few hrs ago :warning cud it be google goes THAT far? :helpme

Yeah a little disconcerting, but handy when an ad shows me exactly what I've been needing.

I noticed that a while back. I guess the Google checks the cookie of the retail site's you visited and displays ads for the adwords account.

they serve you ads to blow your mind, they know all about you and what are you looking for

And so does anyone looking over your shoulder, when they see the ads. :winkwink:

It's creepy, yet convenient. I believe that search results, on images too, are also affected by what you've searched on before.

AFAIk it's been like that for YEARS.

Visit watch sites? Car sites? See those ads all over the net.
