What is a cowardly way to bomb a military installation? You don't just announce that you are coming to bomb them. Japan bombing a military installation isn't terrorism because it is a military target, not a civilian one.

What I am trying to get across is that it is never okay to kill innocent people whether their government did something wrong or not. You do not punish the average Japanese man or woman for the actions of their government. Same as you don't punish the average American for their government's actions around the world.

So if you want to play that card, then our actions were more noble than the Japanese bombing of pearl Harbor because we DID announce that we were going to drop a bomb on Hiroshima, we gave them a chance to surrender. And for the record, 55 civilians were killed in the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

I think what those kids did was far worse, and they taped their terroristic threats(which is a crime) and the fact that they assaulted a guy for using spray paint. They should be in jail.

When it comes to the whole Japan/America thing, the dropping of the bomb was justified. They started the damn war, and needed to be stopped -- and over a million American soldiers would have died invading the Japanese mainland. It was a sound decision, but I feel sorry for all of the people that died and suffered in Japan, because of their government.

The US still committed a terrorist attack on Japan. Just because you warn people it doesn't excuse you murdering innocent people in an attempt (doesn't have to be successful) to make their government surrender. And the Pearl Harbor attack was still an attack on a military installation regardless of there being civilians there.

If the Taliban issue a warning today that there will be an attack on the US tomorrow, is that attack no longer a terrorist attack? Of course it is, any attack that is aimed at killing innocent people is a terrorist attack.

Al Qaeda claims that 9/11 saved millions of lives. Is 9/11 now justified in your point of view?
