Excellent question. Just checked Google's AdPlanner data to cross-check:
PH 90M UVs versus 61M!
YP has higher ~20% higher Avg. time on site, so probably a lot of bounces on PH

Google's data corroborates your point about conversion: Higher time spent on site implies higher engagement.

I would agree, in that it's based on a sample of users who opt in. So it's an extrapolation. Can't take the precise numbers at face value BUT they do provide good comparative direction info. Look no further than the huge difference in the absolute #s between Compete's and Google's data.

I think that data is unique visitors in the month that use compete.com tool bar or something, is it not? Pornhub isn't 27 million uniques per day from what I know, I could be wrong tho.

PH has been creeping up for other keywords versus your standard straight porn. Porn.com as well, kudos pimp roll

Not so long from now, it'll be 70%+ audience reach, if you ask me. And I wouldn't be at all surprised to see an announcement of a radically-new revenue model.

So do you guys believe it's a question of content, then? Or does it have to do with the way users arrive at PH vs. YP as the point was made earlier.

PH seems to be more savvy on social media too: 71,860 PH followers on Twitter (vs. YP's 14,758). They even have a poll on what new categories fans want to see. Aggressive on all fronts?

Pornhub has been at it much longer in terms of social media. The Youporn account only started being used when they were bought by Manwin.
