Our new vaporizer product (pics)

Awhile back I teased with a conceptual illustration of our new vaporizer product.

Well, it's getting renamed and we have a physical product in our office. We're goign through some minor tweaks and a name change, but the world's greatest pocket vaporizer is a gamechanger.

Heats up in about a minute and a half
adjustable temp controller
battery powered, so no butane
compact in size
will retail in the $199 range

Expecting first shipments in late January/early February

I might even have a couple of these bad boys at Internext next month :)

Trying them with some hookah tobacco later today.

Here are a couple pics (quickie iphones pics, good pro shots coming later):

Who's ready to promote this bad boy via Karma Treasures when it's ready? :)

I will for sure :)

Will you have distributor pricing? Or is this retail only?

Yes, we will have distributer pricing.

We are going to split our sales into two divisions: ground and air, withg round being distributorship

We're still working on details, legal mumbo jumbo, etc.

dont know much about these types of things but IMO 199 for a smoking object is kinda crazy

if you could source out the parts and manufacturing to cut the price 25-50% i think you got a winner

some competition prices/comparisons

http://www.gotvape.com/iolite-vaporizer.html
(butane operated, so butane expenses)

http://www.gotvape.com/wispr-vaporizer-by-iolite.html
look like toys

http://www.gotvape.com/vapir-no2-vaporizer.html
looks like a vibrator, but one of the top sellers out there right now and you can't set a precise temperature with them, also not very pocket friendly

We fully manufacture the product. Our co-owner built a factory that will do nothing but produce this unit.

I was sticker shocked at first too until I started looking at the competition and what they are offering. I was pretty new to vaporizers, etc. when I joined the company, but have been quickly educated and continue to learn more all the time :)

Bongs are easily 100 - 300 dollars for a quality glass tube, "heady" glass bubblers and what not go for 200+ no problem, and the digital volcano vaporizer is like 550 bucks... Smoking weed in style is the way to do it in 2011 :pimp People aren't afraid to spend some money to enjoy smoking pot, that's for sure.

SykkBoy 12-09-2011 02:43 PM

Our vaporizer also contains no glass. The reason for that is glass breaks and we want these things to be resilient in the case of being dropped, mishandled, etc.

CyberHustler 12-09-2011 02:46 PM

Send me one so I can test it with some NY diesel...

JFK 12-09-2011 03:01 PM

Best of luck with it :thumbsup:stoned

I'm assuming metal coil/rod heating element? Any warranty on it?

yes
warranty is being worked on, we're doing some stress testing, but wanting to do limited lifetime, so basically lifetime unless someone does something like run it over with a steamroller, haha

we're dropping it 1000 times, opening/closing the hatch 1000 times, tossing it around, etc.

Kenny B! 12-09-2011 03:23 PM

I hope you have one at internext I'd love to check it out!

Nice. The heating element is the weak link on most of these handheld units. Most of them use cheap Chinese metal coil heating elements that burn out after 2-3 months of use. A lifetime warranty will definitely make people feel better about spending the money.

Will have this one for sure and *might* have the one with the final iterations.

V_RocKs 12-09-2011 03:45 PM

I'd love to beta test this thing... Also can recommend Munki.

Magic Flight Launch Box is priced around the $100 dollar mark, is made of mostly wood, and heats up and is ready for use within 5 seconds. And is far smaller.

Might want to have a look at what they have done, and how they creating so much success to get you some ideas.

Those things are pretty neat once you get the hang of it.

Yeah, they are great.
We're eyeing a possible line of vaporizers including some value-priced units

what do you think would be the reaction of a mostly wooden one that you didn't have to slide the battery in to get it started? :)

We're not setting out to be the cheapest one in the market. We want to produce a quality unit that is sleek, functional and upscale.

I can't divulge a lot of the things we're looking into and options we're looking at for this unit and subsequent line, but we want to make a name and base it on quality of product and added style...

Hey Sykk.

What kind of temperature control does it have? Is it adjustble or fixed?
