Wordpress MU Plugins

For some reason I cannot get plugins working on wp MU. Is this common for these plugins not to work with wpMU? How can I resolve this?

I have never had an issue. You might have to activate it in the main domain for all subdomains before it shows up in the subdomains.

isnt there technically no wpmu anymore? isnt it just an alternate setup in standard wp? what are they calling it now? multisite?

beks, are you trying to install an older version of actual wordpress MU? or are you utilizing multi-site?
