Has anyone every attended the Songkran Festival in Thailand ?

Kaosan Road? Am Live in Bangkok :)

It's a lot of fun and getting drenched in water in the heat there is nice. Recommend it.

Every year for the past 4 years in phuket, it's awesome fun, 2 days is more than enough though!

Its a lot of fun... All over Thailand... Getting doused in water and eucalyptus talcum powder then fucking... Its the best!:thumbsup

Its not for a few more months though... Start saving your pennies.

Hell on earth. I stay inside those days it happens.

The only upside to Songkran is that the roads just about empty in Bangkok compared to usual.

Protect your eyes with glasses and don't ride on motorbikes in touristy areas. Lots of fun to be had if you avoid obnoxious people with water canons that try to blind you.

It is the season of the idiot and the biggest ones are not Thai.

Yeah I heard it can be fun, but after a few days it is not fun anymore.

I'll be there in February so I guess I'll miss it. Too bad, really. That looks like fun!

Do a lot of the working girls go back to their province during Songkran ? So are there less available ?

But for my experience the girls are everywhere...Its party time....the islands like Phuket and Ko Samui are great... And if there is a music show in Isaan... province north of Bangkok, go, go go...I was doing sound for a Thai rock band...mayhem was abundant...:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

pattaya and phuket is more interesting, there are more sexy asiachicks then in khao san road... don't forget the waterproof camera lol

Yeah I was thinking to spend a few days in BKK when I first get there, then move to another place like Pattaya.
