Years ago in NYC a Jewish professor went to his office on campus to discover a huge red swastika was painted on his door. He left it there until he retired. When asked why he did this, he would tell people that the swastika was a constant daily reminder of a small and narrow thinking minded group of people who utterly failed.

You see that a lot in Asia. In general they aren't as aware of what Nazi really means. Likewise, I'm sure there are sensitive things in their culture and history that most in the West are ignorant of and treat lightly.

There's a popular anime titled "Hetalia", which features these costumes from WW1 and WW2. The anime is extremely popular amongst cosplayers. But I don't think there were any Nazis on the show.
