There must be a simple picture cropping proggy that works in exactly the same way as the thumb cropping feature on a TGP does but if there is, i cannot find it.
JMB Soft used to have the excellent TGP Cropper but since the owner went away you cannot register the software anymore which is a massive shame as it was a fantastic bit of kit to have. Surely there must be something else like it out there?

cheers but it doesnt give you an option to crop the image in the size you want unfortunately. Say you just wanted to have the face of a girl from a photo in a 200X200 box, it would involve a load of faffing around.

Free and works for me.

This site lists a lot of websites with great image tools. It's how I found roundpic way back.

Irfanview is handy.

this silly, there must be a simple programme that lets you tell it the dimensions you want the finished piccy to be then lets you crop a portion of the picture to that size.

You can do it using ImageMagick / convert
In fact, most TGP/tube scripts use that one exactly.

i found this in the end http://www.darkwood.demon.co.uk/pc2/cropper.html a bit over-kill but it seems to do the job
