Are there any good cache programs for Wordpress?

W3 Total Cache and Super Cache have been tried but they do not work well with the various photo gallery systems we use. Anyone have one that plays well with others?

I use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/w3-total-cache/ that should work for you

No, we tried it. Does not work well with NextGen's gallery script. The slideshow feature stops working.

i use both with NextGen and the slideshow works.

hmmm . . . . are you using the cache and CDN system in W3?

I use Quick Cache on my wordpress installs, not sure if it would be any better but I like it.

yes. it took a few tweaks to get it working right but it's fine now. i'm not sure why they don't just add that to wordpress.

I have grown to hate NextGen over the last year or more and when I need thumbnails that link to full sized images I've started using http://www.viper007bond.com/wordpres...ive-galleries/ with the standard WordPress galleries.

You can view an example of it on one of my client's sites here: http://www.keithbmachineworks.com/tanane-whitfield/

If you peak at the code, I've used the exclude tag to keep one photo out of the gallery and remains full sized. It's being used on a few of my client sites now and they all love it.

Doesn't totally answer your cache issue, but it does eliminate what I consider a slow-loading, bloated plugin. My other question would be - are you prepping images for the web properly to reduce bandwidth?

W3 total cache would do the trick...
you just need to set it up correctly

if you have LOTS of traffic and dedicated server
I have a great solution for you! Hit me up!

Cache is webserver and php and mysql, you can pay us to know more.

w3 should work with nextgen, although I do avoid nextgen cause its kinda overkill when you can do the same thing with the built in gallery system.
